The trolling in that split screen race to the finish game is bonkers!! That's actually pretty funny.

Beautiful list man! OutRun is such a classic, I swear I have these vivid memories from childhood playing OutRun with one of my cousins at their house. It probably happened!

Another game that I would consider a hidden gem is Rent a Hero, which is a Japan only release but it has been translated. It's a top down adventure game that cuts to sidescrolling beat em up type combat. You play as a guy who gets a job doing hero stuff. Sometimes it's just running errands, but other times it involves fighting bad guys. I haven't completed it yet, but I've had a lot of fun with it.

Why does NO ONE ever mention Burning Force?! It is literally the game that made me get a Genesis!

@@_Sergmanx_ check it out. It released in arcades in 1989, 1990 on Genesis. It’s kind of a Space Harrier clone, but it has the greatest music the Genesis ever produced. It’s a lot of fun and comes from Namco. To this day, I LOVE Burning Force!
The arcade version is available on Switch, but I much prefer the Genesis version.

Good video! I’ve heard of some of these games, but never thought much of them. Outrun 2019 in particular looks much better than I expected it to be.
The one game I disagree with being included is Mega Man: The Wily Wars. It’s not bad, but I think it’s significantly worse than the original NES games. There’s just a lot of subtle changes that seemingly unintentionally make it much harder. You can’t shoot as fast, your hurtbox is bigger, some of the bosses take more hits to kill, and a lot of the strategies to win in the originals just don’t work anymore. At the very least, I wouldn’t recommend it to beginners who aren’t looking for an extra challenge beyond the originals.
Thank you! I think MM1 is better in Wily Wars but as far as MM2 & 3 I would stick with the NES versions. I would recommend Wily Wars to someone who has never played the franchise before. Hopefully they would then check out the NES versions afterwards.

First off,tell me why i just got a notification for this AFTER i already have been watching this!?😑 secondly, i didnt know about the magic hat game, but it looks like a solid play. Definitely loved wily wars for sure. Of course it looks better on genesis, sega does what nintendont 😉😆. Holy shit, i totally forgot about chiki chiki boys until you mentioned it! I played it via emulation back in high school, and forgot about it until now!

Magical Hat Adventure is kind of a sequel to Psycho Fox on the Master System
I just looked up some gameplay and looks really good. I can see the elements used in Magical Hat from Psycho Fox. I’ll have to play it at some point.
Or a spiritual successor to Psycho Fox.
