    I own a 2018 X3 RC Turbo (120hp) with 5k miles. I'm a "normal" rider...ha ha. I've had the same experience with my X3...control arm bushings, wheel bearings (rear's were actually still good), and LF lower ball joint. Broke my front sway bar end link in the Creek Trail, WV so I removed my front sway bar and never looked back. I also had an issue with lower bulkhead plate where the captured nuts came loose and I could not tighten lower control arm bolts. Other than noisy cabin and poor front visibility I have no other complaints. I have all the power I need, solved the cabin noise with Rugged Radio's headsets. Love the channel, looking forward to future videos.

    Few things first is my vote for Ivy Branch. Next what place will be featured in your next riding series? And last when/if you upgrade would you stick with the smaller machines or go to 72in like Scott? Keep up the great work guys your my favorite UTV channel since you do outlaw trails.

    • @TheCanAmCrew

      Thank you, next up is some new wellsville videos. If I upgrade I honestly think I’ll stick with a 64. There hasn’t been somewhere I couldn’t go because of my width and I’ve been able to go places wider machines couldn’t because of my width. The only downfall I see with the 64” is that they don’t handle the serious offcamber spots as well. 64s also have stronger suspension and axle components because there is less leverage on those parts. Axles, a arms etc.

    So something I never noticed before with your rigs is that you don't have gated shifters except for Scott's machine. I would think with the kind of riding you do you would for sure have them. Plus you can-am folks have it kind of nice with very affordable ones... lol Mine ran me about $300 but worth every penny. The other thing, and I think I commented on it before with you guys is I am also surprised you haven't installed a clutch kit. I think installing one would really surprise you with the difference they make. But I would suggest if you do, don't get one of the mass produce style kits. Go with one with adjustability with weights to help really dial it in. I swear by Adam over at QSC clutches. Night and day difference with my machine running his kits....but just my 2cents... lol

    • @2ndchancesadventures
      @2ndchancesadventures Před rokem +1

      There's literally no reason to grease wheel bearings. They're pre greased and sealed. The grease doesn't go anywhere and it doesn't break down. The bearing will fail long before anything happens to the grease. The only exception is Polaris. A new bearing you could add a few squirts.

    • @TheCanAmCrew
      @TheCanAmCrew  Před rokem +1

      Honestly there is no way to avoid it unless you don’t ride hard. If you plan to ride hard it will go. Avoid being on your side. That’s when Scott’s went most of the time. Side load transferred into the side gear that meshes with the diff is the most common failure type. Being a 2022 it has bigger side gears but I’ve still seen it happen. If you don’t ride where you need momentum to get you through or your layed over on your side still trying to move you will probably be ok.

      No, we won’t run a gusset kit for a few different reasons. One is if your not jumping it like in the dunes it’s not necessary. 2 is the fact that we are in to the diff and a arms quite a bit with our riding style and a gusset kit turns that type of job into a few hours rather than 30 mins.

  • @cfbwarzone
    @cfbwarzone Před rokem

    9000 and no issues not having the gusset kit? I've heard a couple people say it's a must, but with that kind of miles and with the riding yall do, I'm second guessing even getting it and using that money elsewhere.

      @TheCanAmCrew  Před rokem +1

      We won’t run one for a few reasons. If you plan to jump them in the dunes you would probably benefit from one but for us we see no need. One of the main reasons being we are breaking diffs and hard on a arms and bushing etc. when you have a gusset kit on the front end it makes working on them a nightmare. Especially on the trail. We can have a diff out of our machines in 30 mins. With a gusset kit your looking at a few hours. The downtime is what I don’t like.
