Offset Text in Cricut Design Space 2021 Update

- Yay Cricut has finally given us the ability to offset text in Cricut Design Space in 2021. So we no longer have to use special apps or fiddle around trying to make an offset on our own.
Cricut will even allow us to offset images and offset our offset! It's a lot of fun, but still a little glitchy.

I am shocked. I have looked for how to do this for at least a month, and I knew it must be pretty simple because people always skipped over it in tutorials and just came back with the vinyl. Thank you sooo much for the video. I didn't realize what the offset button did and I've been using the Phonto app doing one word at a time and having to email it to myself, then download it into my google photos and then upload it into Cricut. This cuts my time by 90% at least in doing this. Bless you!!!

I watched and did the steps exactly how directed and my offset is not working at all!!! Please help me.
I have the offset button. And when I click it, it does nothing at all... No matter what font I use. Like since the update, it's never worked.

Well that's a bummer! As I said in the video it was being super glitchy for me when it first updated. Maybe try closing out of design space and re-opening

Mine has the off set option but when I try to use it, nothing happens 😩 I’m able to click on it, move the line and click “apply” , but nothing happens to my text 😢 do you know how to fix this?

Also, is there any type of image that works better than others for this feature? I.E., filled solid vs individual parts placed to make a whole image, etc. TIA!

my design space doesn't offer the offset feature. and when I try to update my Cricut it says its up to date. or does the design space app need updated?
Do you have windows 10 or higher?
I have windows 10 and 64 bit I can see the offet button but no blue line appears when I click apply

What kind of device do you use when you're in cricut design space because I use a Samsung galaxy s21 phone or a Samsung chromebook and my design space looks nothing like your design space and it doesn't have the offset and all these other features that you are showing?

@@DailyDoseofDIY unfortunately even with the windows 10 updated on my computer (64 bit) I still can't get the offset to run. It shows on my canvas but doesn't work. Of course it works just fine on another windows 10 computer but that one isn't near my cricut machines and isn't available for me to use.
Is this an update i can do on my ipad ?

My cricut offset does not show the offset around my images nor letters and when I click apply nothing happens no offset appears. I uninstalled the app then tried to reinstall it on my computer, but now it is not installing into my computer. :(
On "Choose Joy" that you typed. Why is the oo on choose outlined and the o on Joy is not, it is blacked in? I like to keep all the letters the same and offset is throwing me off.

Chris, I am new to the circuit world and have been practicing much. I need to make a cake topper that says.. "Happy 50th Birthday". I want to put on black glitter but the only thing different is I want to print gold glitter for just the "50". I do not understand how. Am I doing an offset and if so how do I put the text and the 50 separate so I can glue the gold 50 on top of the black glitter 50? Are there several applications I need to do in order to achieve this?? So need help!! Thank you!!

Several people have reported this, It's most likely a glitch. I would try closing out of design space and re-starting it.
Can I use the offset option with the cricut explore air? The apply button does not turn on.

Can I use this method for cutting out layers in cardstock to make a card. I want to do the word Love Love Love stacked up on eachother and have different color layers in background and make a card on my own. Am I making sense. I hope so

Thanks for the offset feature tutorial. I do not have mine as of my update today, maybe tomorrow. I can't wait to get this. I was hoping to have today because I am making a sympathy card and all of my stamps/dies for sympathy does not have an offset for them so I guess I will do as I have done in the paste is fussy cut around.
I went the the adobe.com fonts tab above that you linked but I must be blind or something. HOW DO I DOWNLOAD OR GET THE BISTRO SCRIPT FONT? I looked everywhere for a download button.

I just got my explore air 2 and I'm using windows 10. I tried typing a name with text in the cricut software and I tried to apply an offset but I don't see an offset appear. Is it a user error or could it be a glitch? What am I doing wrong? :'(
It's probably the glitch Cricut is working on. It's a very think blue line that appears initially, but I'm having a hard time with any of the controls appearing on the canvas, resize and everything, so hopefully they get it fixed soon!

When using HTV, do we still have to cut out the vinyl where the top layer lies?
