I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the march, as the last march (in Edinburgh) wasn’t particularly large but yesterday lifted my heart!
It was reminiscent of the one in Edinburgh just before the start of the pandemic where we had over 100,000 march… now I’m not saying the crowd yesterday was that big but I did lose sight of the rear of the march when looking back (especially in the centre leading down to Nelson Mandela place.

it was the biggest one post covid for sure - took over 30 mins to enter the Green and quite a few folk usually peel off at George Square

We all had a good laugh near the start of the march when, over the noise of the marchers, we could hear a sound coming from an upper floor window… the ‘National Anthem’ (god save the king).
Needles to say we all laughed and jeered at this attempt to make a point on our views… oh, and the yoons were out in force (one man and his brand new never been used before Union Jack (it still had the folds in it)) near the end of the march 🤣

think it is because they did not stand for election on that basis, unlike Sinn Fein.
