I'm partial to the Trapper pattern and have a few more than you do. Your observation about the pocket clip is well taken. My oldest Trapper knife is a Case with the yellow delrin handle and carbon steel blades. I was in a hardware store and they were closing out their Case knives. The one I bought was the display model and there's no telling how long it had been in the case, but it had some piting on the back of the blade. I was buying it as a user, so I wasn't worried about a blemish or two. I've probably owned the knife for more than twenty-five years and I feel like Ii and the knife have a history together.
I believe that the V6 means that the bone is vintage. In my experience of collecting, that's usually the case (no pun intended, lol). Sweet little collection! I got my first Trapper in 2019.

As far as what a knife is for… Case trappers are pretty hard to beat. 420hc is what I’m hearing and with that the toughness is a 9 out of a possible 10. Blade geometry is most important. Trappers are second to none with thinness behind the edge…butcher a chicken… it’s like using a laser beam!
