    This is nice, and the sound of the trumpet is clean.

    This turned out well- most would approach this music with the stuffiness and technicality of mozart. Here you brought the mellow jazz out rather perfectly borrowing from controlling dynamics and tone as is done in classical and pitt ensemble.

      @thetrumpetman  Před 2 lety +1

      Thanks! I wanted it to sound more dynamic rather than stuffy.

      @@thetrumpetman stuffiness usually happens due to fighting the horn or being unprepared to handle subdivisions common and unique to Jazz and big band- namely because the sheet music looks like a sea of black with some white spots. Youre one of the few im aware of on here that isnt overtly intimidated by the more difficult music in that ypu have a well developed approach to learning difficult sheet music. I would feel confident giving you a miller solo.

    Oh my god! I knew another new cover with video would be worth the wait, but wow! Nothing could have prepared me for this masterpiece. I think this is the best cover you've done yet! The lip bending, harmonization, trills, grace notes, growling, and everything else... I actually got chills, couldn't stop smiling. The emotion you put into this, and the way that you acted out the different characters was awesome! I subscribed to you about this time four years ago, what a great anniversary gift lol. Keep up the amazing work as always!

    Great job as always! Both the music and the editing! I can imagine that would take up a lot of time. I do wonder what you hear over your headset. The track you currently playing or the other tracks...
    Anyway, good job man!

      Thank you! I'm glad you liked the editing! I took extra time on this one to try and make the editing more exciting. For what I hear in the headphones, it depends. Sometimes it's just a metronome, but usually it's whatever has been recorded so far.

    This is all great playing and very well produced also. My only suggestion would be to have included some flugelhorn or muted parts, like for Camilo, Dolores, and or Felix. I wouldn't want it to be 50-50 with an open trumpet, but It would add a little extra variety on tone and color.

    • @Harlem55
      @Harlem55 Před 2 lety +1

      Mute wouldnt be appropriate to the style- using the mutted trumpet would give the miller sound to this which imo would be a bit too bright. (This isnt millers sunrise serenade). where the piece is more the mellow side of sade. The flugel horn however might well have been a consideration, or maybe Horn in F.

      @@theclarionhall4755 interesting as ive never ocassioned to hear anything other than the miller sound from a mute- and ive never seen it outside of the big band influence apart from classical where its sound effect charecteristic of the device romantic period where unusual FX was the order of the day. So this is new to me consisering that ive not much experience with neoclassical.
