    Thing is; while there does need to be focus on the next generation. I think it needs to be remembered that the fans want to see their favourites go out with a bang, not a whimper

    Scrap Strong as a whole get rid of the Championships, get rid of the TV title, get rid of the World & Global, bring back the Heavy & IC, rebrand the NEVER titles as IWGP, Make the KOPW more serious & have it to where the holder of the KOPW relinquishes it at the end of the year for a Heavyweight title shot with a new KOPW champ crowned at WK. Do a faction shake up get rid of BC, HOT, Chaos, J5G etc make everything fresh. Get rid of Gedo along with some wrestlers that aren't that good like Chase Owens(sorry) get some fresh faces & push some different guys in the main event & mid card scene plus let's get Hiromu & Despy in the Heavyweight scene. Sorry for the long post but I've had this topic on my mind for awhile

    Actually historically before the attitude era, it was the norm that a wrestler’s peak was in there mid to late 30s. Guys like rock, brock, randy, and cena were not the norm. They were pushed hard out of necessity b/c there wasnt anymore territories to pull from

    It's a rarity to find wrestlers excel in their 20's in the main event spot. If the crowd still support you, I don't think age matters. LA Knight and Shingo Takagi are 41.They can both perform at a very high level and shouldn't step aside due to age.

    Guys like Tetsuya Naito and Hiroshi Tanahashi are falling apart. Okada left in his mid-30's with a reported slipped discs from carrying that company on his back for 15 years. I mean, look at Kota Ibushi and Kenny Omega. Some of Kota's problems are on him, but he's in that condition to begin with because of the NJPW style. Omega dipped in his mid-30's and he's been on and off the shelf in AEW since it's inception despite working a lighter style and schedule. You need young bodies to compete with that style and schedule.

      @@akashnikunj-sp8yv And none of them are currently wrestling in New Japan or working a NJPW style, which is my point. You can't compare the U.S career trajectory to Japan's. Most wrestlers on top of the card in Japan are a wash by 45.

    Buddy, most wrestlers don’t hit stride historically until their mid 30’s. You’re probably too young to realize, but most top guys had 20/30 year runs. Nash and Hall were early 40’s and Hogan was late 40’s when nWo got over. 5:11

      @clickphasegang Před měsícem

      @@MrKingkz tbh, I think that’s more likely under Triple H, than Tony Khan, yeah Tana will but the belt on an AEW star, but I can never seen Tony putting ANY of his belts on a NJPW star. Triple H on the other hand would put almost all the NXT belts on NJPW stars and a good amount (as long as it made storyline sense) of the main roster belts on them as well. Like I expect Giulia to win the NXT women’s championship and then spend an extended period in Marigold until she finalizes her move to the states.

  • @clickphasegang
    @clickphasegang Před měsícem +1

    Here's the thing, their number one issue will always be Tony Khan's involvement on their brand, their talent, and their pockets.
    They're acting like AEW is their only hope, mainly because Forbidden Door is a cash cow, but what are they risking? If they didn't loan Opsreay or Okada to them for a month, two years in a row would they be in AEW today, which is a long list of other talent.
    Giving Jon Moxley their belt is another issue, yeah sure it's on AEW television, but who cares, that does absolutely nothing to help ROH, and it did nothing to help TNA other than lose Big Bill and Ethan Page before they realized AEW's primary agenda, which is what Tana brought up (passively), as a breeder promotion for AEW to take the talent from whenever they want.
    Look at Kevin Kelly he quit NJPW for AEW, just to become a pariah who can't even get his New Japan job back, because Tony has TOO MUCH power over NJPW's brand. Rossy Ogawa was right, and when he was fired, Tony exposed himself because he acted like a manchild and immediately tried poaching talent. It has visibly impacted Stardom's schedule, and it's only been three months.
    Change some of the wonk in NJPW, sure, House of Torture is garbage, but it doesn't stop AEW from being the number 1-20 issue in the promotion right now.

    • @hezekiahthomas837
      @hezekiahthomas837 Před měsícem

      The number one issue isn't tony njpw talent where known to leave. Njpws bug strength was there ability to build new stars with intriguing storylines. Everyone who left now for AEW was going to leave and if AEW where there it would bof been for WWE considering it's know that everybody was on triple h list. If AEW left njpw for one year with no real involvement from now to till forbidden door next njpw would still have the same problems. NJPW needs to replace gedo point blank period
