- A few days ago kicked off the Can-Am Crown dog sled races in Fort Kent Maine. I went and followed 17-year-old Caleb Hayes as he took on the 100-mile race after a violent moose attack that involved him and his entire dog sled team.
The courage and bravery of Caleb and his father to protect their team was truly inspiring but their drive and passion that brought them to the starting line a few days later was a story I had to share!!
This story shows the hard work, drive, and courage to be a true Maine musher!!
Make sure to stay tuned for the full film soon!!
Until next time Go Discover Something Awesome!! - Sport
Brilliant. Looking forward to it.
Thanks John
Jeremy, can’t wait so glad to be one of your subscribers. Wondering if there are any falcon / raptor hunters in Maine for future episodes.
So happy your enjoying the adventure! I love that idea 💡 would love to film that
Now your talking my language. 27 years on the runners. Looking forward to this addition. There was a race long ago from Kittery to Fort Kent, ahh yes the good old days ! Magnific !
Now that's a race!!! W9uld be awesome to re create that!
@@JeremyTGrant indeed it would be historic ! P perhaps Kittery trading post and 'll bean would fund the effort. The can am is the Iditarod of the East. I the community of Fort Kent is unmatched anywhere for its hospitality to us mushers and their teams. Keep up the great work your efforts are to be applauded.
@@44musher that would be amazing thags something we might be able to make an reality. Thanks again for watching and hope you enjoy the full video! And if yoy haven't watch true North might be worth a watch
@@JeremyTGrant I am all in, we live in a beautiful state with amazing people and heritage. My people have been here since 1623 proud to be a native Mainer.
When and where can I watch this? Just watched true North, What a great watch! Your dogs are beautiful. I just got back from Alaska and was able to go on a summer dog sled ride with Ryan Redington his story was so inspiring and interesting and now I'm on a deep dive into dog sledding. What and inspiring sport. The love and passion for the dogs is so cool to see.
Unfortunately this project got canceled but I have two other big doc sled projects that I'm working on in Alaska that are going to be wild and I can't wait to share
Wonderful
Thank you my love!!
