My left joy stick keeps wanting to make everything turn left
Stick drift
Yeah the PS5 controllers are infamous for stick drift. Since ps5's launch i am on my 6th controller. All suffering from stick drift on left stick. I do drop it sometimes because i am used to the smaller ps4 controller
@@nickrackel7949idk man i had 2 controllers for the last 2 years and neither one of them has stick drift and i play the game daily after work lol
There seems to be no fix
There is a fix but it's a pain in the ass. Rubbing alcohol, foam q-tips and enough knowledge to take the controller apart to expose the potentiometer. Or, you can take it to someone who knows how to do It should cost about 20 to 40 bucks.

Idk if it's a 020 model thing but mine was very hard to release from the top when pulling the shell apart. Every video I watch just comes apart but mine didn't want to let go. Finally force through it and was fine.
thanks for posting this, was worried there was something i would break on mine as well, but i went along the sides and eased it up that way
Thanks. Was able to pop it all apart (to the board coming off, anyway) and lubricate my left stick module with some amsoil silicone spray. Works like it should now! It always felt a little funny, but yesterday it started to creek really loud and even get stuck in some spots. Glad I was able to get into it without any damage.

Thx I accidentally spilled a sip of soda and my touch pad was slow and it helped make it work new and save lots of cash

Excellent! And what a cliffhanger at the end!... Story of my childhood! I could always take something apart... Tricky thing is putting it back together again so nobody noticed what I did... Now if I could only find a video on disassembling the L2/R2 triggers...

Literal life saver own of the taps nexts to the touch pad slipped out when I dropped me controller I was able to put it back in with a old gift card and a spoon using this video 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you so much! My cat spilled my drink on it but the only thing wrong with it was the L1 button not working. I followed your video to disassemble my controller and properly cleaned the interior and fix the trigger with no problem!

Hey I had a big problem with my controller with my left stick, it was always tilting to the left and as a result of trying to manage to fix it from the outside, the stick came out and I couldn’t put it back in so I wanted to take it apart and I did. Everything went fine until I pulled out the entire left ribbon cable 😂 well couldn‘t save my controller then so I decided to try and put it all back as good as possible without watching a guide. I was proud that the power worked and the microphone, I even fixed the stick. The rest was pretty funky and definitely cannot play with half my buttons not working...well well, time to say goodbye to you, first controller👋

Thanks my controller stop working because my son spilt soda in it and I did also 😅. I went to town with alcohol and cleaned everything and i got lucky and it works nowz

thanks so much for this! bought a used console and the controller buttons were sticking, turns out there was a bunch of sticky stuff in there - don't spill soda on your controllers, kids!
Thanks, my right shoulder button broke, but disassemble seemed to gotten it unstuck. It was the sneaky bottom screws I couldn't find at first

I hear a small sort of pebble inside my ps5 controller very little. Everything works well I’m curious on what you might think it is. Maybe a certain piece is known to fall off easy.

Im.having troubles with the button pad on the tight. Whenever i try pressing the x or y, it doesnt do anything. Does anyoneknoq how to fix that problem?
I can't even get it off, the bottom is like wrapped around the triggers
So... I was trying to take one of the cables out and i used very little force and it ripped. So time for a new controller I guess. That's my bad. I'll be back to do this again tho hopefully it goes better the second time around 😅

My favorite part of the tear down is where you jump cut from taking out the bottom screws after showing how to take the plastic front off to suddely L1 and R1 is removed 🤣 classic /s
