Thank you so much!!!! I'm sometimes scared that my son might have other struggles (bipolar or something) that I don't know about, but this really will help me approach it differently, knowing the behavior might be the tip of an iceberg of something different. So, don't get squirreled, pause and assess the roots, hold the boundary, natural consequences or repairing something broken, work through the real worry/fear, reset zones... LOVE ALL OF THIS and your examples were so helpful.

Thankyou so much Natasha, it is very comforting to hear this from a humble and skilled person who has faced this obnoxious behaviour in real life and truly knows!

Great video thank you I shared this with my mom. My whole growing up everyone said I was bipolar, now that I'm 36 I realize it was anxiety all along.

No ma’am. If your child crumbles to the floor over a cookie, you do not respond to that child. You do not explain yourself. You have already explained yourself at least once in those situations. This is not neglect. It’s not neglect because when they are being fantastic or when you’re just having normal family moments, you do not neglect your child you explain things to your child if they have questions, you are attentive to your child. When they show behavior like that because they cannot have a cookie and this is obviously not the first second third or 12th time you do not respond to that.
