Ngl Aventurine is currently probably the best written and developed character in Honkai Star Rail, even people who hated him at first now love him (not me though, loved the mf since i saw his drip marketing), and honestly he is my favourite character from this game (with Kafka on 2nd place because how can you not simp for this woman)

It's so hard to keep my mouth shut, but i can say we do get a lot of story with aventurine and he's incredible in my opinion! Also there is quite some shipping material between him and ratio because of the dialogs and scenes they share together 👀

This man is honestly my new obsession. I am very passionate about characters I like but I very rarely cry in videogame. This is the first hoyo character that got me very VERY close. His story makes me way too emotional.
Oh, and he just so happens to be insanely good as well, so this is the second character in the entire game I will definitely get at least two copies for. I love Gepard but he doesn't stand a chance against the gambler of our hearts
Aventurine one of the best HSR character especially writing wise in my opinion, I love him so muuch, I would give him the world (saw someone recommending his Moment Among The Stars trailer, I dont recommend it because you will get heavily spoil for Penacony 2.1 story). Definitely pulling for him with no hesitation even if I pulled for Acheron before too, if I have two boys I go all out for it's Danheng Il and Aventurine (I have a thing for imaginary it seem like 😂)
Fun fact : Aventurine work really well with DR.Ratio and Topaz (he like follow up team), can work with Acheron since he give debuff with Ult, maybe one of the best sustain with Fuxuan I believe (shield on skill, they are stackable too, he have follow up attack too)

Yep, you got the pronunciation right. It is Avendture + one minus the "d" sound.
And so yeah Aventurine has a SLIGHTLY dark story explored more in the Penacony trailblaze missions. I, for one, am definitely going to be pulling for him. He is way too strong of a sustain to pass on and even his aesthetic is my cup of tea.
Penacony has recurring themes about Nihilism; and Aventurine's catchphrase "It's ALL or NOTHING!" Perfectly encompasses this idea with regard to his character: to recognize the "Nothing" in life, and still choose to believe in the "Everything".
Aventurine is certainly the star of the 2.1 story. It makes him hard to talk about without spoilers. I will say he is a man who bets everything with every choice he makes. His actions have made me really excited for 2.2's story since his actions have changed the board that is Penacony.
Mechanically he is our 3rd shield character (alongside March and Gapard) with a focus on Follow up attacks.
Aventurine's character is very complex and honestly, I'm so happy that the writing for him is so good that it made a lot of people change their opinions on this guy 😅 I also never knew I would LOVE this character so much! I can't wait to see your reaction when you get to Penacony!
You better avoid spoilers for Penacony from now on :) Including official marketing.
We probably gonna get drip market for characters of 2.2 soon, devs will show off their official art, and it presumably gonna be spoilery stuff, just be warned.
It's really worth going into 2.0 - 2.2 blindly.
So excited to pull for him tomorrow. He's a preservation character that uses his skill to apply shield to the whole team. And he does follow-up attacks.
Btw, I don't think I've seen you play the Belobog ipc interlude quest. There's a little surprise with him at the very end. So nice, after almost 6 patches, he's finally getting released!
aventurine is a gemestone, and in universe is a title bestoed upon him by the IPC signifying that he's a member of the 10 stonehearts as part of it's strategic investment department, the same division that topaz belongs to as signified by her name also being that of a gemstone (her real name is Jelena) the other titles we know of at the moment are obsidian, opal, pearl, and jade, with their leader being diamond who is an emenator of qlipoth the preservation
I recommend getting him. That’s a cozy shielder and imaginary element is still a little tricky to come by.

I would personally really recommend rewatching this after you finish 2.1 story mission because there is a million details that are hiding in plain sight that manage to not be spoilers because you don't know yet.

Apart of it being live service con thing i personally think - its amazing! Especially after 2.1 now.
Shaoji is evolving with making simple concepts really intriguing, interesting and interconnected within the Themes, parallel narratives, lore of Peanocony and Hoyoverse itself(as one if the main Honkai scriptwriters i bet he even had meetings with Genshin Team writers too), character stories & interactions, references - everything essentially.
Adding hint of mysteries in the story on the top as all good stories have.
As Sparkle says "Lets play, can you find the answer?"
And, oh boy, it pays off ten fold like all Aventurine gambles.
Okay, enough shilling for now lmao.
There are downsides and cons to it too(more Astral Express development sooner pls!), but hey lets focus on positives as there is value already.
After all, at least for me at this point, Its really is that fun to immersive oneself into the real Peanocony.

@@georgieegames It's likely best to not, it pretty much just repeats certain moments of the story that plays out in 2.1. So, I'd definitely suggest to watch it much later.

@@georgieegames In most cases this would probably spoilery but if you just take a closer look at the tattoo it LITERALLY spells out "Slave" so hoyo definitely was VERY on the nose with this one.

I actually don't mind Aventurine I just think Hoyo went too far to make people like him and in doing so forgot about some other more interesting characters. But I am already looking forward to seeing you play the rest of the story.
