The comment “This is normal when you’ve had my f****** life” is the most important thing said in the show. I hope people think on that line for a long time.
This scene is so heartbreaking, but SO BRILLIANT. The characters are literally ON A STAGE and having the scene be dramatically lit and the acting of Asa and Lizzie be super pronounced and dramatic is such an engaging and phenomenal decision.
the line "this is what normal looks like when u had my f life" it just fits perfectly on why in both gen v or the boys we don't really hate the "bad" guys it's because in a way there isn't one
Honestly Kimiko had an f life, she saw found her through. Honestly I would've imagine her standing up and saying some shit you're not normal and either I am, how could we be after all Vought put us through. The needle would get brought up again, but she's seen war and so much other shit, that needle being shoved up in his spine wouldn't cut for her it.
The writing is top tier, but these two really sold it. They legit sounded like a married couple going through a serious issue, they care for each other but they keep trying to get the high ground over the other to convince them.
Honestly i can’t even be mad at Sam for being a dick in the end. He is so vulnerable and everything about his fucked up life is moving at warped speed ever since he got out. on the other hand, Emma was the one responsible for getting him out. It’s not fair for her to be treated like that. But complacency leads to inequality in the world they live in. So i’m very conflicted
I don’t hate Sam because I’ve done what he is doing. He is doing his best “to save Emma.” He values her above their relationship. He isn’t going to change his mind because he believes this is the way to keep her safe, not take her down his brutal path and prevent more victims like him. I think this is his way of saying “I love you.”
Maybe feeling "small" makes her small kinda like Susan on the monster vs aliens series where she had to think small thoughts to shrink and big ones to grow
“This is about you too, if they find out what happened here, I’m not going to be the only one they torture.” - Sam. I think this quote should help people get why he’s doing this to some degree. His goal was and is to save Emma.
“Your no hero” My perspective He honestly didn’t mean that He did this to keep her away and “protect” her in his own way episode 3 he saw her as a hero and said that to her.even going as far as to say a real one
While Sam is very much WORSE because he chose to become a violent superhuman supremacist to the point that he's a literal super-terrorist, It does not help that Emma basically treated Sam like a pet.
Wow, kinda offensive both sides. Emma could've done things, it's only been a few days and Sam became her boy. And Sam is clearly right mentally and neither is Cate.
the actor that plays sam needed an award , the girl who played emma is really good too , but sam was incredibly good as i was watching the first few episodes that kept me entertained
Sam, bud I'm sorry, what you went is horrible, it truly is, while you were being needle up your damn spine, Emma was literally harms, physically and mentally, so that's kinda unfair man.
Even though Sam STILL should have had at least enough sanity to not fall for Cate's bullshit, it probably does not help that Emma basically acted as if Sam was her delicate chihuahua.
Seriously there are people in the comments that are actually against Emma for “controlling him” as if he was even stable enough to not need his own babysitter when he’s a juiced up schizophrenic supe that has a tendency to literally go on a rampage👀 people keep forgetting that…Emma literally had to become a giant just to stop him before this scene and if u notice her influence along with his brother gave him somewhat of a conscience 🤷 no offense bc even I agree that his life wasn’t his own fault but if yall honestly agree with how Sam thinks yall are just crazy he is 😂🤷
So many people agreeing with Sam's "this is what normal looks like when you've had my life." Uh...what? Wanting to commit genocide of innocent people is justified because of the crimes a select few did to you? Most of the people they killed (and will kill) probably had no idea about the Woods, and I'm willing to bet there's more Supes (like Polarity) than humans who knew what was going on at God U but did nothing about it. Yet, all humans are the evil ones who have to die while supes (at least, the ones who don't defy their worldview) get a pass for letting them suffer? It's an ego trip of racist Supe supremacists, nothing more, no different than what Stormfront was after. Yes, it fucking sucks what was done to them, it's beyond horrible; but forcing innocent humans (as well as Supes who denounce their fucked up beliefs) to suffer and die because of it? That's their choice, and it's just as disgusting as what God U was doing to them. They're becoming the monsters that they hate so much.
Yes, that's a very normal response. He is a schizophrenic that was sent to a psychiatric facility where he was then tortured, abused, experimented on etc. He very clearly isn't experienced with socialization either. All these things on top of the fact of Cate being very manipulative even without using her powers, and HE isn't doing anything wrong. He's easily manipulated, we see that multiple times and it's evident due to his lack of social skills. He's been locked up for years enduring all these things, and is finally out. To him, HUMANS are the enemy. When you're that broken, you don't think logically. When he sees a human, he sees a threat to himself. The other supes are just narcissists, but I think Sam has a genuinely good reason for reacting the way he does.
Butcher was gonna become a genocidal maniac too. Hell, shetty was a genocidal maniac so cate becoming one also feels pretty in character. Everyone on the show the boys and gen v is moving towards a species wide war
@@rebel8215exactly and when Emma says to him "ik you don’t wanna hurt people" Sam says "people hurt me" like yes common sense tells you genocide is wrong but when he is literally mentally unstable and all those things happen to em…………obviously he’s not gonna think clearly
