- In this video I'm in Sant'Angelo in Grotte, a very fascinating and suggestive medieval village of Lombard origin which, due to its depopulation, has become a fraction of the nearby town of Santa Maria del Molise (IS). The village develops on the crest of a mountain around the main street that connects the bell tower of the parish church of San Pietro in Vincoli, which also acts as a door, with the belvedere square. From this square you can enjoy a wonderful view over the whole valley and the towns of the area. Once in this square there was a ducal palace of which only a few ruins remain. Many stones of this building were reused for the construction of the building in which there was the municipal seat until 25 September 1955. Today the belvedere square houses in the center the war memorial. Among the artistic and sacred beauties of the town we find the precious cycle of frescoes of the fourteenth century dedicated to the representation of the "Seven Works of Mercy", preserved in the crypt of the church of San Pietro and the cave of San Michele Arcangelo. Sant'Angelo in Grotte in 1456 suffered a violent earthquake with its epicenter in Isernia. It suffered a second on July 26, 1805 which also destroyed the parish church.
One year after my visit, in which I met Gabriele in person (CAMPANARO 04), today I accompany you in the village through a virtual visit and then focus more specifically on the parish church of San Pietro in Vincoli. The church, with a simple façade closed in a tympanum, has a single hall and is rich in works of art. The concert of the bells is composed of 4 bells of which the 3 largest are electrified with momentum and the small fixed. All the bells are equipped with electro-strikers for the striking sound. The programmer that controls the bells is a Digital bells - mod. 870 Evo from Belltron. The electrification was taken care of by Italsonor while the plant is under maintenance by the A.C. MOLISE.

III - SIb3 growing - recast by the Marinellis of Agnone for the first time in 1938 and then in 1947. Height 90 cm and diameter 77.5 cm. Inscriptions: "TUAM-TO...TARE DEUM OS MEUM ANNO -- ...CORSO DEL POPOLO * RIFUSA A CURA DELL'ARCIPRETE DON GENNARO CIFELL... -- A.D. 1938-FOND. MARINELLI-AGNONE". II - SOLb3 growing - cast by the Marinelli di Agnone a first time in 1844 and then in 1947. Height 102 cm and diameter 94 cm. Inscriptions: "LAUDO DEUM VOCO-CONGREGO CLERUM-DEFUNCTOS PLORO-NIMBUM FUGO-FESTAQUE HONORO -- EX PIA LARCITIONE ANGELI IN CRJPTIS-SALVATOR HERCULESQUE MARINELLI ANGLONENCES FUDERUNT A.D. 1844+ / ABLATUM TEMPORE BELLI A.D. I - MIb3 - first cast in 1930 by the Marinelli Foundry and then recast by Paolo Capanni in 1952 following a bombing that destroyed it. Height 130 cm and diameter 115 cm. Inscriptions: "N. 379 / ABLATUM TEMPORE BELLI -- A.D. MCMXL-MCMXLIV -- RESTITUTUM PUBBLICO SUMPTO / QUESTO SACRO BRONZO COL SUO SQUILLO SONORO -- ANNUNZIERÀ AL POPOLO -- LE GLORIE DI MARIA ASSUNTA IN CIELO -- ⭐⭐⭐ -- GAETANO MUCCIARONE E FAMIGLIA -- A SUE SPESE CURÒ LA FUSIONE -- DONO DELLA SUA FEDE E DELLA SUA DEVOZIONE ALLA GRAN MADRE DI DIO A.D. 1930 / PREMIATA FONDERIA PAOLO CAPANNI REGGIO E. CASTELNOVO MONTI 1952". Dedications: Maria Assunta in Cielo, Madonna Addolorata and Gaetano Mucciarone.

Vedo sempre molto volentieri i tuoi video, complimenti per la passione che ci metti! Il borgo ho avuto modo di visitarlo 3 mesi fa ed è veramente un piccolo gioiellino. Quanto alle campane non penso ci sia da dire molto, nell’insieme saranno pur molto caratteristiche, ma la grande l’ho sempre reputata una campana agghiacciante sotto ogni aspetto, le due mezzane invece penso proprio che siano fra le migliori Marinelli che io abbia mai sentito.

Il campanone, seppur non abbia un timbro eccellente, mi piace molto perché crea quel contrasto piacevole...ovviamente ognuno ha le proprie impressioni in merito. 😇

Las campanas suenan muy eufonicas aunque el sistema de toque es distinto al de ésta zona de España. Aquí para las solemnidades se voltean, allí se bandean. Muy buen trabajo, gracias! Ogni campana e' una opera d'arte e va rispettata intonata o meno..........
Sono del tuo stesso parere anche se la differenza sostanziale non è data dalla qualità artistica e sonora ma dalla funzione che la campana della chiesa svolge. Considerando solo l'aspetto artistico ci sono i critici d'arte e di conseguenza anche critici di campane.

P. S. Vorrei rispondere a coloro che dicono: campane stonate, campane pentole, campane sorde.... Badate bene che noi non contiamo sul formare una scala ma bensì una sorta di accordo, anche se non preciso.
Visto che ogni volta le stesse persone commentano allo stesso modo, lo dico "papale papale": ora basta perché personalmente mi sono stufato di sentire sempre le stesse cose, maturate un po e imparate per bene le tradizioni, al posto di dar aria alla bocca solo per farvi notare!!
Grazie mille Gabriele per l'apprezzamento. Se mi si aprono le porte io cerco di documentare al meglio e questo lo sai bene. L'unica pecca è il tempo che è furibondo. L'opinione sulle campane, aldilà del piacere o meno, dovrebbe essere formulato in chiave del contesto in cui esse si inseriscono ma ribadisco il concetto che la critica è buona fino ad un certo punto. Le campane non nascono per essere sottoposte a giudizio ma per creare emozioni e segnalare i vari momenti della comunità, felici e tristi.

Io comunque non comprendo questa necessità di evidenziare che le campane non sono intonate. Non è un problema così grave e lo ripeterò fino alla fine che secondo me le campane non nascono per essere sottoposte a giudizio. Alla fine basta che esse siano apprezzabili e che facciano nascere nel nostro cuore tante emozioni. Non voglio essere polemico però ogni tanto mi piace puntualizzare.
