A consistent way to get the Maurice one-tap is to do it very fast. If you whip-cancel the Maurice as soon as possible, almost 100% of the time, it will reflect a bullet at it, instakilling it.
Edit: Another thing I missed is that you can ULTRABOOST from the pipe clip area to the Maurice door.

You can actually start the timer later in the first room by not picking up the gun and going straight towards the window, after you break the vent the timer will start and you’ll get your guns, which saves the smallest amount of time.

@@OnceUponPotatoes if you are fast enough at getting through the window, it doesn't actually save any time. The timer doesn't start until after the logo disappears or until you break the vent, So you can get the logo to show up but not have the timer start until you break the vent.
