What a great old man,the energy Mickey Dolenz from the monkees has to keep performing at his age, from a longtime fan.

I just wanted to say a couple of things about the Monkees and experiencing them as a young girl and now as a much older woman.
I just read an interview with Mike Nesmith, wherein he said he considered them to be a 3-piece band with the front man Davy Jones.
I want to let the surviving members of this band know that I always considered them a quartet, and basically thought of them as the 'American Beatles.'
Mike was the quiet, moody smart one, Peter was the goofy, sweet, fun one who was my crush, Davy sang and played the tambourine and did seem set as the band's hearthrob but was too short for my tastes...but Mickey Dolenz always struck me as the band's heart, soul, brain, and beat - the actual engine behind the band; he was the understated but actual star of the band to me.
I discovered the Monkees when I was 8; between them and Speed Racer, my whole life changed. I was crazy about them, and after their break-up, went on to own the album "Dolenz, Jones, Boyce & Hart" which to me sealed the fact that this was a bona fide musical group, and not merely a 1/2 hour sitcom.
Thanks for the positive influence you had on my childhood and my life.

I would love she him sing again live. 🎉!! Last time was in Spokane WA, can’t remember the year. So much has happened in my life since than and now it’s all a blurr!! I remember moving to floor seats a few rows back from the stage because half way through the concert nobody ever showed 😅 ! Hey, I wasn’t about to pass up the opportunity!! It was great to see them after all those years! I was 3 when the Monkees came out. They were such a huge part of my childhood. I miss those who no longer with us in body, but their energy will last for lifetimes!! I was amazed at how many different age groups were there! Especially when Davy sang Girl!!! To see so many young girls run to the stage with flowers just screaming like crazy!! All the body guards rushed over, but Davy shushed them back and so graciously and humbly got on one knee and accepted each and every bouquet 💐! Brought tears to my ears!! I was never really a Beatles fan. They just didn’t do anything for me. They just felt like a band of young boy singers but sort of had this this sense of stuffiness like they knew they were big. I’m not judging, but the Monkees were just more real ! More like just regular guys having fun entertaining their fans. They remained humble and I think really appreciated the way they took off. I don’t feel like their expectations were set that high, so they had a lot of thankfulness and sincerity! 4 total strangers with completely different style, talent, looks and personality!! That’s what I think really made them so unique. I never did hear how the name was chosen? And the Logo?? I would love to have a white t shirt with a big Monkee logo on the front and their names on the back. Even if the signatures were old prints of copies! I would wear it proudly!! ❤ Long live the Monkees!! Micky sounds great!! Singers over the years don’t have that same edge, and most are a big disappointment live!!! Too much tweaking voices! The band even sounds great! We’re they live or the real Monkees dubbed in??? Thank you Micky for keeping they guys with all your fans!! Still the best 4 pieces of eye candy!! It brings life to reality!! It goes by so much faster than you could ever imagine as a teenager!! 50 seemed like light years away!! Never thought the way we dressed wouldn’t always be the same. Watching you guys in your butt hugging bell bottom pants are still so sexy!! Who wants to see some guys boxers hanging out and watch them have to keep pulling up their pants?? Lol!! Nothing like a nice tight butt!! But now I’m 58 and it sounds dirty to hear myself say that about such young men, still really just boys😮 but hey, how many ladies agree with me! Just like David Cassidy! The clothes than were so firm and showed off all those sexy bodies!! Your still very sexy and classy Micky!! I love all your 🎩! Loved watching this video! Plus you always were the best speaker! You never faulted! Loving you always! Thank you for giving me so many happy memories of being a kid growing up in a very disfunctional family home! The Monkees always took me to my happy place, and still do!! I appreciate being a part of your creation!! ❤

One man and 3 ghosts bring back a time of carefree joy and the late 60’s. A time to relish the good times. You can feel it in the music. It’s a by-gone era of free love and wanting to change things and make them better. Were we just young and naïve or did we really want a better world? There will never be a decade like the 60’s ever again. I urge anyone that wants a feeling for the late 60’s to go to this concert while it’s still available.

I watched the whole show here on youtube and I'll tell you Micky still has got it. I am sure his heart was hurting that his brothers Davy, Peter and Mike were not beside him but they were with him. They are proud of Micky honoring them where they are in heaven. He sang everyone of his buddies songs besides his. Micky held up beautifully through it all. Coco his sister has always performed with her brother and so happy she was there with him. Micky you are a trooper and you said you will never retire and you go for it. God is on to your side all the way. I have be a fan since I was 13 years old and now I am 68. A Monkees fan forever and always. Bless you Micky and keep on rocking on!!!

I have always and forever will be a loyal fan of the Monkees. In the past my favorite songs were "Daydream Believer" and "I'm a Believer". Currently I enjoy watching the official video of their song "That was then, this is Now". In addition to this song, I have developed a new appreciation for the Monkees song "The Last Train to Clarksville" and "Listen to the Band". I also enjoyed watching. Peter and Mickey sing and play their various musical instruments. One of my favorite song featuring Peter was "For Pete's Sake". He was extremely talented. RIP Davey, Peter and Mike. Mickey Dolenz continues to honor you and your music. I will always and forever be a Monkees fan.

Thanks for posting! I missed the first 3 songs cuz I got lost in the new parking garage under the Brady Center.🙄 I was a pathetic emotional mess in red go-go boots.😂 The Monkees were my first musical obsession (in the 1st grade) and this show did not disappoint!! Micky’s voice really loosened up through the first set and I was knocked out. Great band too. There were emotional moments offset by favorites that had the whole crowd of us “over 50 set” on our feet and movin’ like we haven’t moved since the raves of the early 90s.😂 Had a great time and even got a pic with the Mike Nesmith dude!

If you were 5 years old in 1966 you might bring back some childhood memories. For anyone else Don't waste your time, it sucks, Mickey is living in a dream world. They didn't write the three hits they had, didn't even play instruments. They were hired as actors for a sitcom copying the Beatles. If you want to see clips of these stooges from the 1966 sitcom for 90 minutes go see it!
