seriously!!!! i was completely blown away by the "cinematography". so impressive that they were able to pack in so much action but you still knew exactly what was going on. and that final clash was just 👌

I'm actually kind of disappointed we never got an art or even a Mystic art that involved Alphen dual wielding his sword and the blazing Sword
I mean he did do a double bladed mystic arte in the final duel with in the final battle vholran

Something I just realized, Vholran's hand had a similar thing going on when holding his sword just like Alphen with the blazing sword

The Blazing Sword was created via the Fire Mastercore so maybe he created that Water Sword using the Water Mastercore.
@@azuresaiyan9005 well he was the new lord of Ganeth Haros so it's obvious with core he use to create that frost blade
And he stabbed him with the blazing sword you know that was personal
It's hard to get any more personal than kidnapping the hero's love interest.
I love that Alphen is a nice guy but is totally fine with murder
@@novartez8051 alphen questions murdering enemies on a lot of cutscenes, he has to do it, it's not that he wants to do it

@@novartez8051 that's kind of the argument pacifist vs pacifier. He decide to be a pacifier because you can't just change somebody mind by saying: hey you killing is bad, treating people as slaves is bad, controlling people's minds is bad.
dude i just played through this and it was so, so good. what happened afterwards blew me away into a world of confusion though lol. and then that anime cutscene that looked like opening titles totally threw me for a loop, like wtf was I just playing the prologue?!?

Having 2 swords will put you in an advantage instead of having one

Actually, one sword is used for offense while the off hand is usually used for defense. That's how it was used back then. But not many people did dual wield.
I just beat this game. It's my first Tales game and I gotta say it's a 10/10 for me. Beautiful animation, great story pacing, genuine connections with the characters and their histories, enticing plot. Overall I loved this game
Like the fact game stopped giving us talk nu jutsu about revenge being bad and just gave us some kickass murder

This fight scene was amazing, that dual wield spin move is FIRE! I'm torn between this and Rokurou vs. Shigure in Berseria as the best fight in Tales, they were both brilliant swordplay and masterfully choreographed.
man how far battle scenes in tales games have come.
This is what Arise pulls off masterfully well: cutscene animations! Compare this to Persona 5 where they mostly just stand around & talk or Dragon Quest XI where they just mime. As much as I love both those games there cutscenes lack the energy from what I've seen from Arise.
Does anyone else feels vholran is like sephiroth of tales of arise?
A crappier one, maybe. Sephiroth is nuts, but he's a lot less hysterically so than Vholran's rabid ass.

this was by far probably one of the most badass Tales cutscenes ever! have been playing and streaming Arise to my bf and we were yelling and cheering Alphen on. beautifully done and voice acted!

It’s a essentially a fortress from the “The Witcher” game/book/Netflix series where some genetically enhanced dudes named Witchers are raised and trained in combat. The comment is referring to how Alphen’s fighting style is oddly reminiscent of those same guys.
Am I the only one that think that Alphen resembles a Witchet when he fights? And maybe just in general. The white hair, the 2 swords for specific things, the way he fights with the long sword resembles Geralt of Rivia a lot with the spinning and most moves

Is really damn cool Vholaren almost sends him flying but Alphen isnt just some joe-shmo who waltzed in from nowhere.
He's the original friggin' sovereign. So it makes complete sense that instead of getting launched he just slides while sword-binding, as if he's just as strong

I just noticed something funny. Alphan had one sword burning his hand while the other was a normal one. He then sheaths the normal sword first all while the other sword was supposedly still burning his hand lol. Shouldn't you put away the sword that is causing you pain and giving you 3rd degree burns first rather than the other normal one? lol.
@Jeff Not the point. He had 2 swords in hand, one was burning his palm and causing him pain, the other was not. And he put away the one that did not hurt first.

@@ichase8555 It still was. Nothing said that the sword stopped burning. He did not FEEL the pain from the burning in the past but at this point in time he should have been feeling and getting rid of the thing that has been causing him pain the first thing he does. Can you tell me why you think the sword had stopped burning?
@Daniel C they literally ask how he's able to hold the sword again in a skit and he says it's not burning as hot anymore but it still hurts, and that he can fight through the pain because something something he is fueled by justice or something like that.
So it's not burning his hand off anymore by this point.

@@Rubhen925 Except alphen had naori to sort of watch over him along with his new friends whereas vholran ended up bitter and angry.
@@thanashs not necessarily. Vohlran is pretty much the main antagonist of the game
@@MaajidM Though i don't think there's a real "Main villain" or Antagonist, all the characters and beings were technically victims or their actions were without malicious intent, in the case of the Great Renan Astral Spirit.
