This video is not helpful because now you have wasted a perfectly good mango. There should be a way of figuring out went to pick it from the tree. Perhaps color or the stem?
This is the only way to identify ripening mango. I do this sampling for all my mango trees, and this is the only way to harvest tree ripened mango. Destroying a few fruits is worth it, you don't have to artificially ripen them using chemical inducers....
This advise is for commercial growers , the common population may have one tree with few mangos can not afford to loose these mangos to harvest rest of the mangos - BAD advise.
Simple , when the time comes...
Yeah but when you harvest them the green or unripe there flavor suffers.
so should i assume all the mangoes in the tree are the same?

Hey Elizibeth and tye, why don't you pick the other 387 mangoes on your tree and not worry about the one mango you had to cut.
How to tell if ready to pick?
Oh mybhod. Too much damage it's tasty unripe

Sorry, but this advice is stupid. Don't need a specialist for this advice.
