I have rarely seen so respectful an audience. There was complete silence at the end of the piece, with applause starting only after Li opened his eyes. It was a wonderful moment. The performance is once of the best that I have heard from him. Unhurried, flexible, romantic, and yet never mannered.
Notice how he is so into the mood of the piece that it takes a while for him to come out of it and the audience too. That's when a musician knows they've succeeded, when the audience takes a moment to come back to "reality" again. :) Lovely!
This is my favorite version of this song ever recorded I come back to this video if this song ever comes up on any playlist I make sure to listen to this version.
The final note feels like a crest of Angel's feather. With the sound permeating and gliding away softly to the eternity, Yundi is in the trance, body and soul. So is the audience. How beautiful this is!
Muchas gracias a Dios primeramente por haberle dado ese talento a Yundi, y que lo ha aprovechado interpretando las obras de arte de Chopin, saludos a todos" Bella Musica " !!
It is terrible that we can’t hear again on a stage. He is a fabulous pianist, i just hope he is safe somewhere and that he can return to concert safety 😂😮❤

Años escuchando estos temas del genio de Chopin, en películas y acá 7 años... Emociona, te inclina, te supera.. Por lo sublime, hecha con el corazón y el sentimiento.. No me imagino otra música clásica.. Que me produzca tanta nostalgia y tener mis ojos mojados... Demasiado intensa y hermosa.. 😪🙏
Our language, English, lacks words to define or express the subtleties of sound, and how it affects us...Eskimo has 22 words for snow, while how little we can say to describe the vast array of sound/sounds, we experience in music. Quite a mystery, magnified by the skills of Yundi.
Hi, it is true that language might fail. But just let me have a try. Whenever I listen to this piece of music, I envision that I am illuminated by the moonlight which filters through boughs in the garden, dappling roses in my hand and glistening in my eyes like tears. I stand there with a tranquil smile in my white night dress made of this delicate moonlight.
eskimos do not have 22 words for snow, its a common misconception. They actually just combine words, for example, instead of yellow snow they say yellowsnow. It's not a different word more of a combination of pre-existing words. I think I got that from Vsauce.

The audience is indeed Japanese, but the pianist is Chinese. When you know his nationality, I wonder if you still like this performance. As far as I know, Poles are very anti-Chinese.
How many times do you think you’d have to practice this song to remember the entire thing of only memory? I’d say tens if not hundreds of thousands of times.
Whenever I hear a veteran playing piano in a show I don't really like the play. It feels a little offbeat. I don't know why, though they are precisely accurate. But when I play the same song on piano tiles, it matches the rhythm. Can anyone explain?
This Chopin's piece of work suites well with Yundi's technique and his appreciation of Chopin Nocturne No 2. But I don't like the green stage effects,it can't show off his profile effectively. Blue would be better.
cantavanda Oh yeah, that's true. Shall we put all colour on the stage, so we could choose one which most we like. That'd be the best option. Thanks for your advice. How about black? no,no... we could not see anything in pitch-dark,could we?
cantavanda Oh yea, that's true again. I'd better to read "Goethe"again. Thanks for your advice again. Repetition plays a vital role in life.... Continual play a piano is a prerequisite to success, right? Yundi, you must know in this area very well, mustn't you?
this man just made his audience feel the true peace of mind.
