    If steering wheel is crooked make ajustment at the coupler. Put a piece of tape on your steering wheel at 12 o'clock then discount couple and turn steering shaft under the hood peak thru window watch the tape for 12. The slide coupler back on . Note the steering shaft is tellascope retractable. Cheers

    Did you relocate the steering box? My tire hit the steering box and broke the line off and it was a mess oil every where. I put 37s 🤦‍♂️ can you please give me some advice on what I have to do?

      My truck has some pretty moderate 31" wheels, nothing too huge. My replacement was completely stock, idk how bad 37s would mess it up, either you did something wrong or you're gonna have to fab something. It was pretty straight forward for a stock replacement

      @@Accident_Proof my steering box is right next to the front driver side tire on the side of the frame so the tire hits it and bent the lines and one of them busted

      @@skylinemusik1 sounds like your tires are too big for the wheel well. If you've got the ability to fabricate I'd say your options are moving the steering gear/swapping it around. You could also find a way to re route those lines non-factory. Otherwise you've gotta find a way to move those wheels away from that assembly with spacers or a lift of some kind

    Did you make a video of you taking OFF the steering box?

      Unfortunately I did not, it wasn't terrible though. You disconnect the steering wheel linkage and the pitman arm, and the 3 large bolts are all that remained

      @@Accident_Proof OK Thanks. Just trying to replace the rag joint on my 77 F150 Ranger and I think I have to remove the whole steering box.

      @@patricklenihan8309 well, I'm not sure if you would or not personally. I wouldn't think you have to but I haven't needed to do that myself

    Was that a reverse rotation steering box what was your part number I'm doing the same to my truck

    • @Accident_Proof
      @Accident_Proof  Před 4 lety

      terry meinhold I'm not quite sure. It's a stock replacement for an F150 4x4. They have the part number at oreillys, but usually don't stock it. I bought it off an online place I can't quite remember at the moment. Just be sure you have the 4x4 and whether it's f100-150-250-etc because I believe that does make a difference
