But orochimaru would only have like 5 or 6 years in Sasukes body, so in those 5 or 6 years he would of trained like mad to control the Sharingan and figured out a way of keeping it going at peak.. My issue is, Orochimaru helped Danzo control all those eyes with Hashirama cells, i'm wondering if the deal was that Danzo would give a Sharingan to Orochi and instead alerted the Hokage to Orochimaru's experiments before going through with the deal... "to protect the leaf" ugh.. scumbag.

He got Itachi to kill the Uchiha as early as possible so that Hiruzen didn't have time for another solution. The only 3 enemies that Danzo had nothing to do with were Madara, Tobi and Orochimaru.
Man I fking love it when backstory episodes finally give more insight on characters and tie most routes. It's still padding for time but feels good to see how it looks like through the other perspective.
Only 3 people would've known Kabuto real name. Danzo himself, Kabuto's referent and Orochimaru. At the foundation you have no name, no family, no emotion, meaning that Kabuto's real name would be something he kept for himself, the others members of the foundation, didn't know his name, and since he wasn't in the Konoha for 5 years he had different names. Kabuto Yakushi was in the chunin arc for 2 exams before hiding as Anbu. That kinda explain why nobody found him.
I just realised Something, in the chunin exam arc Orochimaru was suspiscious towards Kabuto, he even defied Kabuto to kill Sasuke to prevent orochi to get him. That's could mean that at the Time Kabuto was on Sasori's jutsu but Orochimaru didn't know. So when Kabuto started to act weird Orochimaru was watching, it must around that time that he release him for Sasori.
16:13 No one recognized Kabuto because spies are forgotten as soon as they are declared killed, they may delete all traces of the spy too. Of all the people they sent to kill him, they sent a Sannin to finish a job. They wont even question Orochimaru if he said he already killed the spy, furthermore they do this to a lot of other spies so survivors like Kabuto is just one of the many and they'll certainly loose track of his face given how his records are most likely already disposed off
I don’t think Danzo had the eye yet because Kabuto was like 8 there and Kabuto is a few years older or the same age as Itachi so the timeline wouldn’t have make sense.
It makes me wonder the age difference between Kabuto and itachi now. At first, I always thought Kabuto was older than itachi too, but watching this made me reconsider that Kabuto was literally only supposed to be a couple years older than Naruto and Sasuke in part 1 in the chunin exams..Like 15 years old max. And itachi was like 20 in part 1 if I recall correctly. I feel like Itachi is actually older than Kabuto now that I've considered it.
Yeah…weird choice by the writers to have danzo looking like he had a freshly stolen Shisui eye in that scene since canonically speaking he was still years away from that point. But who’s to say he didn’t steal other sharingans before shisui since he was top tier asshole anyway 🤷🏾♂️
Danzo wouldn't have had Shisui's eye so to use back when Kabuto was a kid. That was just good old fashion threats. Kabuto and Itachi are roughly a similar age which means it was still a few years out before the Uchiha massacre. Shisui had his eye stolen not long before that. Danzo is just missing his eye and chooses to have bandages as a covering as opposed to say an eye patch. Now if he had acquired another sharingan prior to obtaining Shisui's eye I am unsure. However that could be an idea which would fit with his character to steal an Uchiha's eye and just claim they died on a mission and that their body was destroyed, in which case he could then use a sharingan genjutsu to manipulate people much as Tobi did with the previous Mizukage. That would still be a bit convoluted though.

And Danzo did not use eye, because according to Itachi, eye can only use once 10years if it's not Shisui doing it. Also.... Weird fact is. Danzo did everything evil to protect Konaha his own way. He's literally a modern day politician. Also orochimaru is not the evil guy he self claims to be. His story is very complicated.
Orochimaru created Danzo's right arm, sharingan included. As someone who operates within human experimentation and transplanting body parts around on humans, he was very well aware of the limitations of potency retention of kekkei genkai and other physical attributes after transfer. Simply possessing someone else's DNA or organs doesn't mean your body will be as compatible with said genetic material or be able use their abilities with the same efficacy. This is true in real life as well as pointed out in such examples as Yamato who has the First Hokage's DNA implanted. Or when Itachi explains to Kakashi in their first manga meeting that his body doesn't have the physical stamina to use the sharingan as efficiently as he would've been if he had been born an Uchiha. Orichimaru also had a discussion with Kakashi, I think during the Chunin Exams commenting about how Kakashi got his sharingan and about how also wanted to get his hands on a pair, but he didn't want a "fake" or an "imperfect version". He was saying essentially, that simply transplanting the eye wasn't good enough, he wanted to have a strong body that could synchronize with the sharingan and allow him to utilize it to its full potential. He also wanted THE BEST possible candidate, the cream of the crop Uchiha to take from. This was Itachi, but he couldn't get Itachi--so he instead figured his little brother might possess similar levels of talent. This is why spent years trying to groom Sasuke and train him up so he could take over the whole package instead of take his eyes and spend time developing their powers on his own.
I don't about Naruto fandom and how many people don't like Danzo Shimura but not me I always like this type of character cause in some way they truly show us reality of real world as well.
Danzo doesn't like it when his capable followers become too capable. He doesn't want them to be so weak that their not useful, but he doesn't want them to be so strong that he can't control them either. Even if he doesn't believe that person will betray the Leaf Village, he never rules out the possibility of them doing so. And if he can't control them, the safest option is to vet rid of them. Better safe than sorry, right? Danzo, doesn't believe in trust, or in ethics. He only believes in results. He is like, "I will do whatever it takes to protect the Hidden Leaf Village. Even if that means, sacrificing some of my own followers. If I have to sacrifice 10 people to save 11 other people, then so be it.".

NAH, the shisui and uchiha action happened waaaay after that, when it happened orochimaru was an enemy but what you just watched was 3rd great ninja war when itachi was still 5 cause orochimaru was a leaf shinobi, in other words, the eye came 8 years after this conversation with kabuto's mom.

I love the character of Pain, Itachi, Tobi and Kabutu. This is the first sad story since the story of Tobi, Itachi and Pain. I also hate Kakashi. Because he couldn't keep his promise. He had to be in whatever was.

One of my favorite episodes. Kabuto is definitely in my top 10 favorite characters, you can really compare his life to some poor children from today.

I always took it to mean that he just lost his eye to an injury earlier. When he managed to get his hands on a new eye, he just plopped it in.
