Simple 5 step process to hate the game: 1) Grind the inferno for weeks 2) Find out the infernal cape is only 1 maybe 2 max hits but you’re in too deep to quit 3) Start regressing and question why you don’t just buy the cape 4) Keep sending attempts despite being miserable 5) Get the cape?
I agree that cape is not mich of an upgrade compared to time invested getting it. But it's also a mark of improvement and a milestone of sorts. You learn so much while getting your first cape.
As a maxed player (iron btw), who is internationally known for insulting every cheese caper I see, especially max cheesers, This just reinforced my correct beliefs. I will continue to insult the subhuman filth that think they can send a tob without an infernal cape. I walked into ToA the other day(to retreive my 3rd age pickaxe, of course) and all I could smell was straight monterry jack cheese. My fingers hurt from all the people I insulted. I had to cool down with some 3t/g, into some relaxing phosanis kills while I efficiently attend the church of Turael for more inferno tasks.
Another tip for long term Runescape account health is to set multiple alarms for Herb runs throughout the night (or day) to not lose out on GP when sleeping.

I stopped playing osrs like six months ago because of some shity clan I was in running a big brother type discord (seriously it got weird with mods sitting in channels on mute just listening..). I always had friends within that clan and having been a moderator (until I was told to spy on people) I'd make private discords we'd actually play in. Had these two German guys running to frequently and I had been desperately seeking for clan mates to try it. Seriously, I got to the point where I made a team of five and said we'll keep going until we start completing it. Anyways, learned ToB doing trios with them and it was an absolute blast until they were randomly booted from the clan. We drifted apart (they probably joined a proper clan) and I was back to square one. I just logged out one day and never logged back in. Since then I've actually spent time in therapy working on my PTSD from Afghanistan, I'm a few months into learning Japanese, started lifting weights again, and generally happier. I miss the fun times like one of my teammates yelling in a German accent "fly you fools" if bloat did a 180 but I will never click pestle, click herb, click granite, drop granite, and repeat ever again. Just aids. I started playing osrs on one of my deployments between missions for nostalgia on that shity sniperhill net (if you know you know) and continued back in garrison. When infantry aren't training and your not a cherry you go to your room and play games while the privates clean. It was a great way to kill time but once I got out I hated it. I kept playing a game I despised. Anyways, the whole point of this ramble is if you hate this game and it's not lining your wallet. Just quit or at least go try something you've never done it game like ToB. With the right people shits a blast even if you die p2 verzik everytime or go try nightmare. Shits a blast in a group and you can start tanking and flick piety hoping someone eats a melee hit.

Iron man is very different from a main, on a main I enjoy pet hunting for cool untradeables, on an pretty much any drop is a big step for the account, for some people playing a main just doesn’t feel rewarding enough because every drop you get is simply GP which has no value once you already have enough to buy whatever you want
its remarkable how half of what you're saying is not actually a joke to us players that actually are skilled and take the game seriously, but you are able to double meme as if you are saying it ironically, for the casuals to laugh at your mockery of hlc players, but also single meme as if you are serious, for the hlc to laugh at casual players. its so well crafted, amazing video
Ironman accounts have a sense of accomplishment when you finally unlock things like first glory and first whip, ect. But as someone with a high level Ironman I’ll be the first to admit that sense of accomplishment is easily replicated with the collection log on mains. Before that update I was team Ironman all the way, not so much anymore.
