    i don't like farrah, but the eyebrow thing is really not a big deal. i had a mustache since like the 2nd grade and i was dying to remove and even got teasted about it. my mom always said "wait until college." thankfully i finally took matters into my own hands and started plucking my upper lip hair. i did have bushy eyebrows till college tho -__-

      @SteviiLove Před 10 lety +10

      The thing is, your mom thought you were beautiful and let YOU decide. She didn't do it for you, especially when you were FOUR! When you're in second grade, you're like seven or eight when kids actually notice that. Sophia was only four, and was sleeping. She didn't have to pluck or wax them, they make nifty little shavers SAFE for babies skin that come with eyebrow grooming attachments. I think if she would have shaved the unibrow instead of plucking and waxing her four year old, people wouldn't be so flabbergasted.

      SteviiLove lol my mom is not so cheesy that she thought i was beautiful and that's why she kept the mustache. she just thought i was too young to messing around with my face.

    • @fkgabbana
      @fkgabbana Před 10 lety +5

      nikkiforever2007 No but your mom thought you were beautiful anyway and something so frivolous as a mustache on a young girl could not make the difference between "good enough" to be in public or in photos and "not good enough". Little girls should not care about stuff like that. They have their entire teenage and adult lives to feel inadequate to society's standards. Introducing that kind of behavior to a four year old can be very damaging to their self-esteem for the rest of their lives. It's introducing an idea that wasn't already there far too early.

    • @casebased4953
      @casebased4953 Před 6 lety +1

      Kate Dubbs what's more damaging to your self esteem is being bullied about it by other kids. Kids are mean, they'll certainly point out if a girl has an obvious mustache, unibrow, etc.

    • @mascara1777
      @mascara1777 Před 6 lety +3

      Kate Dubbs ....but little girls do care!! I was made fun of so badly for being a hairy girl. It was a huge blow to my self esteem. This is not just in the mother's head. I can say that personally I felt very ugly and down on myself because my mother didn't let me do anything about the problem until I was 16.

    If my daughter had a unibrow and she was old enough to realize that her unibrow bothered her I will consider giving her permission to wax it off. Before I do though, I would explain to her that beauty is pain and it's going to hurt! Lol. But if she was a toddler and didn't even know the meaning of a unibrow I wouldn't. It's just my personal opinion.

  • @MangoFlavoredCarter
    @MangoFlavoredCarter Před 10 lety +62

    Who cares if she plucks her daughters eyebrows? What about the moms who spray tan their daughters, wax their eyebrows, make them get acrylic nails for stupid beauty pageants? Sophia obviously likes to play with makeup (as seen on some episodes getting her nails done and what not) It's no different than a mom wanted to cut her daughters hair, or sons hair. She's 4... Ok? Plucking eyebrows is not a big deal like everyone makes it seem. When I was 5, a girl at my school had who was also 5 had a unibrow and kids teased her. YES! Some kids are bullies at that age. Have any of you ever thought that maybe she was protecting little Sophia from possibly being teased? No one would let her finish explaining. Not each parent is perfect.

    • @karenovcrynant
      @karenovcrynant Před 10 lety

      the spray tan will wash off eventually, you can soak the nails in soapy water and they'll come off, if you pluck a young child's eyebrows it's possible the hair there won't grow back.

      @SteviiLove Před 10 lety +6

      nikkinicole901 You are right about that! I have a two year old who like his father and myself has bushy brows on the ends but I'm not plucking or grooming his eyebrows. When he gets older, if HE wants to groom them I have no issues helping him do so, but till he decides they are staying the way they are, because he's handsome just the way he is. If I had a daughter, I'd be doing what my mom did and that was keeping me from makeup till 6th grade. II wasn't even allowed near tweezers till then! Most normal kids don't start plucking or waxing or spray tanning till junior high, not when they're little. Most of those parents who are on Toddlers and Tiaras and such are making their young kids think you have to look this way to be pretty, when they should be teaching your kid that no matter what, they'll always be beautiful just the way they are. That's part of the reason why girls have so many insecurities about themselves.

    • @SteviiLove
      @SteviiLove Před 10 lety

      Also, if there is a four year old bullying Sophia, shouldn't Farrah and the parents of that bully be having a sit down? Farrah said it herself on this same episode in a different clip that Sophia is intelligent enough to communicate exactly what she wants. Also, THERE WAS NO BULLY YOU IDIOT. If you watched anymore from this show, you'd hear Farrah straight up admit that it was her family and friends saying Sophia had the unibrow, no bullies!

    Farrah is right.
    I had crazy eyebrows until I was about 16 and my mom would tell me I look sooo pretty. I mean I was pretty, but my eyebrows were horrible. It definitely took away from my prettiness haha. I now wanna burn every picture up to that age basically because they look horrible. She would have done me a favour by letting me groom them God dammit, but she didn't even let me because she told me they would grow back thicker haha. Like..I know moms think their kids are beautiful even with shit on their faces, but the kids themselves MIGHT NOT. And most definitely, growing up in today's world, they will come to hate their crazy eyebrows even if their mother doesn't say anything bad about it. Crazy, ugly eyebrows are not something that cannot be changed or that takes a HUGE effort to change...so you don't need to get me used to having them a certain way my whole life. Dammit. Some mothers are irrational. I would agree that it is out this world, if Farrah told her daughter anything bad about her body shape, but with the eyebrows thing, I agree.

Even when i looked at me at 15 im not happy XD my hair was discusting, i was like an emo kid too shy and too prude and everything. and maybe when i will be 35, i will look at pictures now (im 22) and would say "omg what am i wearing" or "omg look at my hear...". Farrah's daughter is 4 years old! if i had a daughter and she would asked me if she could wax her eyebrows, if she's like 12 i would say yes. but not before that, because i dont think a 4-5-6 years old really cares or know what a unibrow is.

    If Sophia realized she had a uni brow and it bothered her, if she wanted it gone that's okay. I was in middle school and 12 and my mom wouldn't let me shave my legs and I have dark hair😒. I felt horrified and had to wear pants all the time to avoid looking like a hairy ape. I think we should save our kids the pain of being picked on and help them with small things like this. Kids are jerks sometimes...

    When I was growing up girls didn’t shave their legs until their teens. I had 25 surgeries on both of my legs with my legs totally shaved before each surgery. By the time I was eight-9 or 10 surgeries by then- the hair had grown back thicker each time on my legs. I mean I had hairy legs. I went to my mom stuck out a leg and said I want to shave my legs. My mom said she understood and taught me how to shave them. I see no difference in removing a unibrow from your daughter than letting your daughter shave her legs at such a young age. It’s hair.

You can use an eyebrow razor and they won't feel any pain, you dont even have to make them into a shape. And just because you groom your childs eyebrows doesnt mean you are also telling them they are ugly. I dont think the lady should have been so dramatic and mean about it

Did all those things coz I wanted to. For myself. Not coz my "mom" thought it would make me look "better." Ya'll disgusting for making toddlers look how you think they should look. Like she can't even escape it anymore and that is really sad and instead of ganging up on someone that is crying out trying to defend herself all the time and getting angry how about we all love one another because that's why we were put on this planet . not to poke and make fun of someone who's obviously struggling .. She is only human .. And she is a woman . all of the negative comments are extremely disheartening and are truthfully useless and a waste of time to even think negative thoughts like that in your mind and then try to hurt someone else with them is just so heart breaking .

Lol, I'm not trying to sound like a dick but I'm just trying to understand where you're coming from. I would imagine a 4 year old doesn't have as much tolerance for pain as a teenager. I barely fix my eyebrows but I went to get them done years ago and it was uncomfortable. Perhaps that's just me.
      It's fine to want to fix yourself but she's just a kid. I wouldn't have a problem if her daughter came to her and asked for it herself but I'm getting the impression that Farrah has an issue with her daughters "look."

It's not our place to criticize the way anyone raises their kids as long as it is not abusive. This isn't abusive. My mom plucked my uni-brow growing up and thanks to her I don't have one haha.
