Mark, Enjoyed your video and learned some things. I just got Premiere Elements 12 but have not been able to get .avi files into it. I get the audio, but the video is a black screen. I noticed that you had .avi files in your assets. Why are your .avi files working and mine don't?

Rename the files, and put in mp4. That's the only way it works for me
