How is being the same even a criticism, that's like an additional detail. Like "I don't like AoT openings because of BLANK, and they all sound the same so I don't like them all" would make more sense.

It's not an opening they could emulate (for obvious reasons), but I will say the first Kakegurui OP, "Deal With the Devil," is pretty damn hype.
Gotta give it to old anime theme's they brought heat am some heavy nostalgia, and even so pretty hard facts and some hype, new anime theme's had some good stuff too, but I feel there was waisted potential, and could've used fighting gold, Fire Force, Dr. Stone, one punch man S2, and some other bangers, so I've gotta say old anime themes win for me

I don't think old anime themes have won, I mean they have the "nostalgia factor". Nostalgia gives unfair advantage over quality. People tend to get trapped in nostalgia, making them always expect the same thing, it happens in anime, music, games, etc.
Slowly but surely we are getting closer to becoming what we hate about our grandparents, being stuck in the old days, "old things were better."
If you don't like that, then you may consider being more open to new trends, which for all industries, is what really matters.

I completely agree with you Kaggy. All anime themes are great, but the old themes are the best.
I'd say some of the best openings I've seen have been from shows that arent super hyped or dont have multiple seasons
Old themes are what makes new themes better for much like the sunsets of yesterdays to bring the sunrises of tomorrows to know that both with such differences can be the same and both can inspire and create bonds in the anime community thank you to the creators actors musicians and the fans that support them thank you

Kenshin is a pretty good anime(even though it doesn't go to the end), but that opening also isn't that great. It doesn't sound bad, but they were trying to say it was hype, but not many old anime openings are hype.
Naruto had some hype ones, but that is old, and new, because it only ended recently.
Same applies to One Piece, and Jojo(to an extent).
Every My Hero Opening, even if not amazing, sounds hype.
Same goes for Erased, and even Black Clover.
