And here I was, thinking that there were no great portrait artists left in this modernist age. You have proved me wrong in this wonderful way, by producing a marvellous painting. I take great pleasure in watching your particular style and your confidence in laying down the image, free of a pencil or charcoal outline. You have a fabulous sense of colour and tone which is, no doubt, the product of many years of practice and study. Many congratulations. Another superb artist that you and your viewers may like is the French/Canadian Isabelle Richard.
Thank you for your compliment. On this road of artistic exploration and pursuit, it is the greatest joy to have a close friend like you walking with me.
After viewing paintings by Isabelle Richard, my conclusion is that her skills in no way even remotely approach those of the artist featured in this video.

Really appreciate you going to effort of recording your process. I have just started to get into portrait painting and it's really overwhelming. Videos like this teach a lot about the process, and what steps to take to get started with blocking in the basic forms. Will be re-watching this video a lot, I bet. Any words of advice for a beginner artist?
My live videos are all in real time and at normal speed. You can refer to the complete process from start to finish. For beginners, what should be emphasized is the way of thinking in the learning process. 1. Perception ability Observe more and feel more about the shape, proportion, structure, perspective, light and shade, reality and reality, and composition of the sketching or copying objects. Be a sensitive, meticulous, thoughtful and methodical beginner. 2. Eye-hand coordination ability You must learn to use your eyes to control your writing, similar to using direct "perceptual understanding" to face sketching objects and pictures. The overall and partial structures observed by your eyes can be directly expressed with the brush in your hand. Learn to "eye to pen to ”, able to represent the object completely and accurately. 3.Basic hand-drawing ability Basic hand-drawing skills and learning how to use certain painting materials. 4. Artistic expression ability Artistic expression ability, which also represents a certain creative ability.

Can I assume this is painted in oils?
Fantastic painting.youve captured a moment in time.I paint fine details and copy my subjects but don't have the life feel of this picture you are very skilled
This is truly incredible, I like the idea of working initially with a limited pallet, another thing that I noticed was that you are holding your brush way back by the handle, there are a couple of problems that I am trying to correct by watching your technique is, I thought that I needed to use larger brushes yo lay down sectiond of color, and the other is, I tend to work too close to my canvas, which has caused me to distot the figure. I want to become confident with your technique, thank you, MSG Leum
Yes,working too close to the canvas can cause some distortion. When I work on my paintings I am constantly going back and fixing any areas that are off, throughout the whole process. I wish you well in your studies. Thanks.
Your portraits are amazing. Thank you for sharing. i was just wondering how many sessions this took and for how long do you paint before you have to leave it for another day?
Just a few ideas for you. Maybe put more info in the description about how long the work took, some context about the subject - is it a copy of an original work etc and where it came from. It would be really interesting to see your palette during the creation and the amount of careful mixing you do along the way. You could probably get some sponsorship from the products you use if you mention them, get more subs and contact them directly. Just a few thoughts really, best of luck.
Dear Master, I discovered you today, your work is simply sublime, it is a real pleasure to see your process touch by touch. I would have liked to see the source photo next to your masterpiece to better assimilate your way of seeing (the Artist's eye) between the subject and its transposition on canvas ... otherwise it's perfect. Good luck Master... I subscribe.
Wow .... Patience and talent makes an Artist Great as demonstrated here in detail...Congratulations, best wishes and prayers ..Expect more such detailed works.
Whenever I paint I try to follow a similar block-in method for the silhouette with a washed out value then slowly add in more layers softly. I imagine this is how the old Italian masters did preliminary paintings before working on the actual final product.

You can use COPILOT to type "Generate a colorful image of an old man in the style of yuehuahe, surrounded by messy white hair, giving the impression of a scientist or creative person. The background is black to focus attention on the character's head and hair" It will give you a lot of different pictures. Thank you.

Live alone in a paradise
That makes me think of two
Love lost, such a cost
Give me things that don't get lost
Like a coin that won't get tossed
Rolling home to you

Ah, one look in my eyes and you can tell that's true
Lullabies, look in your eyes
Run around the same old town
Doesn't mean that much to me
To mean that much to you
I've been first and last
Look at how the time goes past
But I'm all alone at last
