Hi, Lena. I love your videos. Thank you. I've been with Cambly Kids for a month. It was easy to build regulars for the 6 hours a week I wanted. I am not comfortable with Cambly for adults. I also had an incident with Kids where it was not a kid but and adult man pretending to be a kid but he didn't use a camera. There is risk as a woman on a platform that isn't regulated as highly as others but in general the kids have been great. Cambly is also clear about this risk and sends info about changes they're making to make it safer for tutors. I didn't know about this before applying so i really think it's important to include when talking about Cambly. The curriculum is not good; I only use it as a guide so it's been fine for my students. My regulars range from age 4 to 14 and I really adore them! I've gotten to know their parents as they are very involved so i take the 4 minutes to send feedback after every class. This really helps build and keep regulars! CK took about a week to get hired, adults maybe 24 hours?

I have not personally experience anything inappropriate but I have heard stories about others running into some strange situations. The curriculum is basic but I like that, it's refreshing for me. Thank you! When you are doing the application there will be two separate portions for the videos to be uploaded separately. It will make sense once you go through the process.

Hi teacher Lena, thank you for your video! Do you have any ideia about the booking rate for Cambly? I used to teach for 51talk and usually had 4-5 lessons a day, wonder if I can get that with Cambly.
It really depends on the teacher but I like priority hours because you are guaranteed to get some calls if you sign up for them.
Very helpful video. Cambly sounds amazing. But I heard that teachers are randomly assigned students with various levels of education and understanding of the English language. If this has been your experience with Cambly, how do you handle it? Thanks for sharing. I’m a new subscriber.
This is very true. Unless you allow for students to book an appointment then you get random students to teach. You learn to become very versatile and able to adjust to whomever shows up. Just be prepared by having multiple ideas and things/ conversation starters you can use for different types of students! I hope this helps! and Good luck😀

If you only want to teach adult then only add a video for the adults not kids.

Hi Sina. No you don’t need to show a birth certificate and you don’t need to be from an English speaking company. But they can be selective.

As far as I remember you send in you demo before doing the connection test. The lesson slides are given to you as you are completing the application

Yes, start the process now. They often take a long time to reply and that may depend on the number of teachers available but I don't know for sure. If you are hired you can start teaching whenever you are ready because you have full control over your scheduling.

Would I get more work if I do cambly kids rather than just sticking with cambly? I want to try and make cambly a full time thing but I'm unsure of whether it is easy to get bookings after getting hired.
You may get more bookings but you can always do the priority hour thing. And, keep in mind that Cambly kids pays a couple of bucks more.

Yes! That isn't a problem and won't affect your ratings.

Good afternoon Lena I changed the introduction video on the new Gmail hopefully I will get a much sooner reply from Cambly. On that Gmail about 18 days ago I received this message "Thank you for signing up to tutor on Cambly, we are delighted to have you! Your account is now under review; you will receive an email upon account activation. At that point, you may return to this page and start teaching right away!" so hopefully Cambly will see the new introduction video and will reply to me sooner.

I have tried to apply to cambly many times but each time I get stuck because the site keeps telling me that I need a Chrome browser version 60 or higher. But I'm already using a chrome browser 60 or higher yet the site doesn't seem to recognize this. I have tried two different devices. On each of them I have updated my chrome browser twice. And I have even tried a third device and used the safari browser. I have also used opera but neither of these browsers worked.
Does someone know what I can do about this ?
I am not familiar with this problem. Did you try to email Cambly and ask them what to do? Or try to use a different browser to see if it works for you.
I've been having a hard time getting into cambly. They keep telling me they have a lot of volume and I don't match right now. I deactivated my account and have tried again this week. But I only got a reply because I wrote them about status. It seems to be a form message. Now with the cambly kids demo. Am I suppose to do all the slides in the Cambly kids demo? I really would like to get in.
Hi there! Sorry to hear of the trouble. I hope you get the chance to teach with them. You are supposed to do all of the slides but it is hard to keep the time under 5 -7 minutes. Do your best!

I don't think you need to apply to both but you kinda automatically do apply to both. You need to complete one process before moving on to the next.

Last night during dawn time I tried to register with Cambly by adding my information through "complete your tutor profile" so when I finished it wasn't letting me get my information in so I went back to Cambly help center but it wasn't helping so I made the terrible mistake of restarting my computer now it ante letting go back to complete the profile. Can you please help me out here I don't know what to do?

I want to teach children I even spend a lot of money preparing for the children demo between the ages of 7 - 8 years old and even though the video should have been 3 - 5 minutes I did the video for 5:36 minutes and Cambly told me to use TPRS, flashcards of the rainbow colors and shapes too. But it has been already 3 days and I haven't received any message back from Cambly yet?
