Its incredible what Square did with Zack character. In original VII he was like a shadow gone, his most important scenes optional and hidden, yet they took that and evolved it intoa fully fledged charachter everybody loves , fun, optimistic, energetic, relatable...and who meets a tragic end and is forgotten by nearly everyone or with a bad remembering of him (as Elmyra, and Aerith to some degree) as they didnt know what really happened to him.Seeing Zack in his prime, his honor, hus dreams, yet knowing he isnt making it alive...this game is heartbreaking, moreso in 2008 when he was gone for good. Now at least after remake theres an alternate version of him alive it seems.
Couldn't agree more, wild how much I grew to love him so quickly! Let's hope he has a positive future in the Remake series 🙏🏾
And that's why Zack is my favorite FF protag ever. He just had to go through so much and yet, in the end, he still faced everything with a smile on his face. He really is the best.
The GOAT! I feel that, grew to really love him this game
of all the ff games i played nobody comes close to cloud and zack as mcs and characters for me, they are just too goated and imo the face of the whole franchise
I still need to finish 16 but I really do like Clive’s character so far (only 15 hours in) BUT Zack for sure is my GOAT
@@ChocolateKieran I thought Zack was goated but rebirth Cloud is definitely overshadowed Zack lol. I changed ships sorry guys.
@@mel-el5862 you mean ships for Aerith or just in general? In general I'm still more a Zack guy but We'll see how I feel when we see the REAL Cloud, if you mean ship for Aerith I really don't care much as long as the characters are happy

Now you know why so many of us wenr absolutely crazy when Zack showed up at the end of Remake.
He is insanely beloved by so much of the fandom, he's great. Definitely my favorite FF7 character
Honestly, he might be my favourite character now too 😭 I recognised Zack and knew about him vagueley because of Kingdom Hearts & the original game, but this added context of his story just made me love him SO much!
The thing genisis saw at the end was a summon called Minerva who represent the will of the life stream

I respect that so much! Have so much context to his appearance in Kingdom Hearts and I love him a ton after playing this
I can see why Zack showed up in Aqua's story in birth by sleep now both met tragic ends trying to protect their friend

What you mean? Zack shows up in all three of their stories, she's just the last person to meet him

The way they zoomed in on the eyes to highlight that being the moment the jenova cells in Cloud activating is the icing on the cake.

If you look at the original Crisis Core epilogue you can see the CG with Aerith is in tune with the original game while Crisis Core Reunion is towards Remake.
