Gator fan here i got Oklahoma going 9-3, I feel they will be more focused than Texas. I think Texas will go into a lot of their games overconfident. The way their schedule is set up is wild, it’s 5 conference games they can potentially lose. But far as Oklahoma and Texas being SEC ready. I feel both teams are more than ready. Coach BV and Sark has being doing a great job at building depth and maintaining it is a huge key. @MidnightWolfSDJ Před 21 dnem

I think what Teddy was trying to say about this schedule being what Sooner needs is that this schedule will only make OU tougher, more physical, and a high but still achievable goal to strive for. Texas gets the more cupcake schedule (other than maybe Michigan and Georgia) and sure they might come out with a better record, but most likely against the lesser teams of the SEC. OU is forced into the "lion's den" so to speak which will only make OU more battle tested in later seasons. Personally, I think OU will shock the nation this season. Not saying we run the table but I think OU will upset more teams than what people expect. 7-5 seems to be the record I see people say OU will have more than any other record. I think this is severely under rating the Sooners capabilities. I think OU's floor is 8-4 sure, but I think their ceiling is truly 11-1 with the possibility of undefeated. The only 2 major question marks on this team are JA and the Oline. Jackson Arnold is a highly touted QB. Sure we have been burned before with this same argument, but JA has already had more snaps (that I'm aware of) than the other over hyped QB that we had. He will also have way more time practicing with the group he will play with by the first game than he did against Arizona. Coach B is an incredible O-line coach who has had to rebuild the line multiple times, all with very solid outcomes. This is why the second question mark doesn't bother me one bit. It might be a rocky start at first. But by season's end, I believe coach B will have that line straightened out. All that to say, Here is my prediction for this season:
    Temple: W
    Houston: W
Tulane: W (close win. kinda a trap game. Tulane has been a very solid program the last couple of years and should not be overlooked)
Tenn: W (Solid win. The homefield advantage along with BV's solid defense will hold Tenn to less than 15 points)
Auburn: W (close win. first true road test. OU is overlooked in this game and squeaks by the upset)
Texas: W (obviously cuz its Texas... JK Jk. but seriously. I think just like many other seasons. Texas is overhyped and their loss to Michigan will deflate them. OU controlled the game last year. Texas special teams kept that game from getting ugly and I expect similar results but a cleaned up special teams play from the Sooners.)
South Carolina: W (trap game so i do expect OU to come off the Texas win a bit rusty. And this is where OU's preparation for the gauntlet they have going forward begins.)
Ole Miss: L (after a solid first half season OU finally finds their first loss to an undefeated Ole Miss team. I think Ole Miss is the team to beat this season in the SEC.)
    Maine: W (Not even close)
Mizz: L (I think Mizz has shown signs of major improvement in the last couple of seasons and I am predicting them to be the next "Bedlam" series. Not necessarily as a rivalry [yes i am aware of the past] but I think Mizz compares to OSU in many ways. Most seasons OU will beat Mizzou. But every once in awhile I think Mizz will have the better team. This year just so happens to be that year.)
Alabama: W (Our first huge upset of the season comes with dismantling Alabama. I think OU will dominate this game. The new coach is a solid coach. But any time a coach change occurs, there is always a hole or two to exploit. I expect BV will find and exploit those holes.)
LSU: W (LSU was overhyped last season and proved they are still building after coach O was fired. I think LSU is still in the rebuilding phase this year. It will be close as this game will have playoff implications for both teams but I think the team who has the ball last will win this game.)
10-2 is my prediction. The only 2 games I really am nervous about this season are Ole Miss and Missouri. These are the 2 games that if I had to pick OU lose, these would be the games I think are most likely. All in all, a 10-2 record in the SEC, with arguably the worst or second worst schedule (meaning hardest) is a good enough record to make it into the 12 team playoff.
OU will secure their first playoff victory in the first round.
They unfortunately will lose in the quarterfinals. By this point of the season, I expect injuries to be a major factor in performance. 1 or 2 crucial injuries (im hoping i am wrong) will be the ultimate factor that determines the outcome of this game.

I’ve joined some of these SEC Facebook groups. It’s fun to talk trash but a lot of these people are like immature and make weird posts about people and it’s not really even mature at all. I mean it is it’s like what things that a five-year-old would say, but in more an adult tone . Mean I had a guy get all an argument like we should just trash Vandy as bad as we do everyone else and I was like why they’re only in the conference because they want the money way better in the Ivy League would be a lot more fun for their fans and their players. It sucks to go watch your team lose almost every time,

Experienced QB, experienced O-line with a future top 10 draft pick, experienced RBs, very talented WR unit, one of the best LBs in the country, two 5th year senior D-Linemen, and a very talented secondary. Plus a coach that has SEC experience and is coming off a playoff run.
What happened ten years ago has nothing to do with what’s going on right now. OU is a team full of questions and a coach that’s won nothing yet. Maybe earn some respect and stop expecting it to be given because of your name

There’s a lot of other teams teaser made the national title game two years ago. Feel like if they were in any other conference, they would be winning 10 or 12 games. I think they would last 25 years.
