Joining the army is a logical thought process for her to potentially help obtain a Citizenship. Given her age, I would imagine it's quite difficult for her to get an SC, assuming she loves Singapore and would like to settle here. I also don't think she's married , so it would make sense why she joins the army especially if she's laid off.

Thank you Koala for volunteering with the SAF but I'm not sure that I agree on your comments that you did "all the things that the NS people would do". Your induction course is a 2-weeks stay-in training. Mine was over 52 weeks long. You enjoyed your training while some from my units self-terminated.
I suspect it took MINDEF a year to get back to you partly because of overseas background checks. A locally-born female applicant would get a response way faster.

It's not even a real country. It's sort of a Walt Disney park, a bigger park than usual, of course.
Singapore, Luxembourg, San Marino, the AUE, Qatar, etc. these are artificially created Athens-like city-states, from some eclectic congregations of very rich individuals and corporations.... most don't produce any thing on their own; and all of them depend on the sweats, tears, and suffering of extremely EXPLOITED FOREIGN workers ("guest workers") to baby sit their kids, to cook for them, to wipe their elderly's butts, to build for them, etc.
Real countries are the messy, big ones that may STRUGGLE on many fronts but which are able to grow most or all of their own foods, produce their own teachers, plumbers, doctors, engineers, etc... real countries --- as opposed to Disneyland types of big theme parks ---- are those able to build big & small factories & companies, able to invent technologies & construct or manufacture computers, chips, missiles & cars & planes & satellites, etc.

@@kiabtoomlauj6249 The fact u took your time to write such a long comment clearly showed that u are too jealous of SingapoređŸ˜‚đŸ€Why do u bother if Singapore is big or small country??😂Clearly u aren’t happy with ur own country, that’s why u can’t stand whatever Singapore has been offering to the world❀❀❀
HAHAHA, What makes u think Singapore can’t & dont produce our own teacher, lawyer, doctor,,engineer, banker etc? Singapore is such an unique country that is able to produce TOP notch brilliant students & intelligent ppl to run the country too!! 🇾🇬🇾🇬Singapore students also ALWAYS TOPPED IN THE WORLD FOR INTELLIGENCE,READING, MATH & SCIENCE. That’s why Singapore is WELL KNOWN for that & been ranked MOST intelligent country for many yrs!!🎉🎉NONE of those countries u mentioned are considered intelligent countries EXCEPT Singapore!!❀So, are u awake now or still living in diff planet?🙃
What guest workers? U mean those ppl come to work in Singapore are all doing FOR FREE?đŸ˜‚đŸ€ŁLMAO.. So when they do cooking, cleaning, building houses etc all are considered as “intolerable” chores for them? đŸ€ŁđŸ€ŁOh Wow ..Oh ya so they must be so stupid to work in Singapore for HIGHER salary & their country “actually” can provide “more” opportunity for them to workđŸ€đŸ€..Wow
u are so clever to think this way, bravo to u👏👏So everyone else so stupid except u can tell that by giving them jobs in Singapore is called exploiting them?? HAHAHAđŸ€ŁđŸ€Ł
Have u actually talked to the workers? Who invited them to come to Singapore? Hello? Excuse me, they all come to Singapore voluntarily & many would pay to come to Singapore cos they know SG can provide the income they can NEVER dream of having back home, that explains why average foreigners work in Singapore for 10-20 yrs, some even 30yrs cos they LUV TO WORK IN SINGAPORE & for as long as they can!! There are so many countries in this world, they can choose to work elsewhere too if they want but they chose Singapore!! Nobody pointing gun at them, so what the fcuk is wrong with u by twisting fact that we are exploiting them?? Are they working for free in Singapore?? 🙄Exploiting my beautiful a*ss, u jealous piece of sh*tâ€ŠđŸ„°
Singapore is such a systematic & well run country that even takes care of foreigners with proper laws that help protect their safety too, so why the fxck u put us the same level as those other countries esp comparing us to the middle eastern countries??!! Are we muslim country governed by Muslim laws?? If u are being exploited by them that’s ur problem, don’t come here & start accusing Singapore is doing the same as them. Had Worlds at Stanford in 2006, but US Masters not equipped to host such a huge event. Wow she went to Columbia. It’s good to be a an Ivy Leaguer as one is less impressed by people from Ivy League schools. A lot of them went to prep schools like Philips Exeter. She is wearing a beautifully embroidered yellow dress of cotton comfortable material. This dress could only be bought at the place she visited. You can't buy it at any shopping center around the world, not branded, but beautiful. You'll appreciate its uniqueness and beauty. People who have sharp eyes like the top fashion designers or the managers of the garment factories, chief merchandisers or purchasing managers will notice its beauty. Wealthy women love this type of dresses with laced outline. She resembles Sally Yeh, faithful wife of George Lam, a good woman who appreciated George Lam's help. Why are you still waiting?

Single, Travel 200 countries, consultant, quit a $200k job, studied couple of degrees, wrote books, an US citizen, her accent also doesn't sound American, come to Singapore to sign up for the army to serve as a soldier. I don't believe everything she said, sorry. What is her real reason to do that, nobody knows? Is she trying to get Singapore citizen or PR in the fast lane, if so is she willing to give up her US citizenship for that, i don't think so. (very few would) Trying to stand out to get more view for her own YT sub ? Maybe, that would be crazy if true, but IDK.

I doubt her accent is due to Singlish influence but rather the accent she grew up with in America among her immigrant family/neighbourhood (the ethnicity of which she prefers to keep private, I guess). I can see why she likes Singapore which is often misunderstood as a non-English speaking country just because they do not have typical Western sounding "native" accents ...just like herself.. I suppose it makes her English sound less "pidgin" in comparison. (I mean she has even made "comedies" about Singlish in other videos).

Several billionaires and many millionaires choose to live in Singapore for good. However, the property prices in Singapore are high. Singapore isn't suitable for people who love nature or enjoying living in the mountains 24/7 staring at seas all year round. Lives are priceless and invaluable; thus, a good quality medical healthcare and a hygienic environment are priorities of most wealthy people. Singapore is an extremely hot and humid city, summer for 365 days a year. Singapore is a melting pot of many different people and cultures from all over the world. Literally, Singapore has people from 190 countries living or working here. Renting a bedroom or an apartment in Singapore is high, including HDB. Fortunately, the public transport, MRT & Buses, are affordable for many. One can have an affordable breakfast, lunch, dinner or supper at the hawker centers or coffee shops. Singapore is suitable for people who love the city life. The reliable public transport system covers 90% of Singapore and the taxi fare is also affordable. Just get married to a Singaporean man will get you a PR, have baby, to get the Singapore passport.

FYI SG women, first-generation Permanent Residents and new citizens between 18 and 45 years of age are welcome to apply to the SAFVC . These volunteers will be called up for training and deployment to typically serve up to 14 days in a year. But bro, your edits of B-roll to actual NS-enlistees is so misleading! Volunteers have Basic Training (Continuous - two weeks), Qualification Training (up to two weeks), Advanced Training (up to two weeks)- that is six weeks! And she is as capable as an 18 year-old with 3 months of Basic Military Training and another 6 months of Vocation training and/or leadership course? Lets get real.
