    @lingomucho That is Lord Dunkellin. I believe he was a brother (or son) of the Earl of Clanricarde in the 19th century. Sometime during the civil war (1922) the statue was pulled down by the people of Galway and thrown into the bay. It was never seen again! The plinth is now in front of Leaders Shop on the Tuam Road.

    Colonial Cities are far from Brilliant, we are all ex-slaves speaking an Ex-Roman Colonies language and sucking up to our peers for respect that doesnt exist in galway. Though you love it and hate it, you dont know what you are.
