I love that Shrimp ironically ended up being the biggest of the babies 🦐🐈⬛
MEGA SHRIMP 🦐
I had two rescue kittens (they are still alive they just live with their other dad, my ex.) And the runt of the litter was one of the two. I'm a small guy, about 5'7 with smaller hands for a dude, and this little black cat fit right in my palm. He's massive now, and his sister is a tiny little floof.
Jumbo Shrimp
I literally just a few hours ago finished watching the "pulp fan club meeting" VOD on youtube and they were talking about naming a pink gen dog "shrimp" and either making them a tiny dog or a huge dog. I've got a feeling this is not a coincidence lol
My youngest cats name was Tiny when I adopted him. He’s now a big boi and 1kg bigger than his siblings 😂
If Snap was in pain from her teeth and they've been removed, she may do better with the kittens! Cats become especially defensive when they aren't feeling well, so maybe she will be more open to them now.
true! i didnt think about that
“Snap got a certificate” *tucks hair behind ear” 😂😂😂
Ikkkk literally my favorite part 😂😂
Snap got one and Frank didn't
such a cat parent move 😂
Proud parent
its soo cute they gave her a certificate. what a sweet vet
and she deserves it!! 😎
seeing kayla open up about pogie being sick only for him to sadly pass away less than a day later shatters my heart :( I'm sorry for your loss girl, he'll be missed dearly ♥
oh, poor kayla
Oh no :( I'm so sorry for your loss Kayla.
I actually like this form of content I would totally watch more lilsimsie sit down and talk videos
YESSSS mainly if it's about kitties
Anything with cats you've got me.
I would watch videos of Lilsimsie having a livestream cam showing her kitties. Even if they are just sleeping XD
More kitty videos please!

Sunny looks like she is constantly plagued by the horrors and i love that
She's having Vietnam flashbacks.
Like curious Zelda
the fact that snap got a little certificate of bravery is the cutest thing i've ever heard!!
Shrimp is elite
I agree
With the cutest name! 🥰
eliteshrimp01242 sounds like a randomlygenerated name in the best way possible

I still don’t like lilsimsie.
I love seeing the little black voids running around in the background. It always puts a smile on my face.
When you say you family thought the stray was a kitten: she probably is 😭 this is why TNR programs are so important! take it from the mother of a smol black cat who was found pregnant on the streets: my cat looked so similar in size to her kittens on adoption day that I did a double take when I realized she was the mom! It’s most likely because she got pregnant as soon as she was physically able to around four months 💔
Cats don't really go in to heat until they're about 10-11 months old. So while they can have kittens from their first heat, that does not occur at 4mo. That said, many cats will look like kittens until they're about 1.5 yo - my 13-14mo youngest absolutely still looks like a kitten. Her older sibling was the same until I neutered her at like 1.5yo.
@@beckstheimpatient4135 I thought the overall normal spectrum is 4-12 months, with average being 6-10 months old. My rescue was in heat at 7 months for example (before we swiftly got her spayed ofc), and the vet said it's a totally average age.
Snap is giving "Get off my grass" energy, and honestly, same sis.
Just want everyone to know that having kidney disease doesn’t mean everything is over for a cat. My 19 year old cat has kidney disease and has for many years now. He too eats a prescription diet, and all things considered, with his age and how long he’s had this, he is doing well.
My kitty survived for over 3 years following her kidney disease diagnosis 🫶 (and probably would have made it longer but she had other health concerns)
so its kinda like diabeties?
@@louzo5175 not exactly. Kidney disease is eventually fatal, but diabetes can be managed as long as you have insulin. Kidney disease doesn’t have something like that, but you can extend life a lot even with declining kidney health with the right diet and monitoring. Unfortunately kidney disease is very common for cats, especially when they get older, but luckily we have tools to help cats live well into very old age.
I imagine Snappy being old sweet grandma and Shrimp and Kitty are these crazy children that run around and scream all the time. I'd be mad and scared of them too 😅
My 17-year-old cat was diagnosed with kidney disease about 4ish years ago and she's living her best life. She loves the special kidney food (and she's a picky eater, so it's a relief) and sometimes acts like she's still a kitten. All this to say, Snap's diagnosis does not mean she will be leaving anytime soon. Hugs from another cat lover who cries over her own cats all the time.
Your so kind for taking in these kitties and I am so happy you found the best solution to were the cats should go, I bet taking care of 5 cats including the one you already had, would be tough, so I’m happy you are keeping them with your parents!
Trust me when I say it's sooo much easier since you kept 2 so they have each other to play with and keep each other company!! They're all gorgeous! Black cats really hit different with that glamour and SHINE.
And they way their eyes POP against the black, no matter the colour, is like nothing else.
Welcome, officially, to the Void Cat family. Group therapy is on Thursdays!
So happy they're already in the "eating at the same room" phase
Ahhhhh we are going to miss the sewer babies. So happy they are doing good!
The cat distribution system at its finest. I remember when i got my most recent "delivery" and the new critters are always hilarious
Don’t end cat updates please! Would love to see Shrimp and Sunny grow up over time. And of course always happy to see Snappy.
I'm sorry to hear about your childhood cat who is sick. Glad to hear that the kittens can bring some cheer to you!
I'm so sorry to hear about Snap, but we all know she's in good hands with you, and the kittens too!
Rest in Peace, Pogie. You were a good boy
If frankie is messing with her stitches at all, have your family ask the vet if its ok to use a baby onesie as a recovery junper! Google for more info :)
That sounds absolutely adorable
It is completely adorable! We had a collie-type mutt who would NOT leave her stitches alone, so we put one of my dad's old t-shirts on her. It was the cutest, best thing for us and she was grumpy about it for weeks. (She healed and the vet thought it was hilarious when we brought her in for her check)
@@vanguardiris3232We use to put one of my childhood dogs in an old jumper & he always succeeded in getting it off. Same with my brother's little dog & his litte dog jumper.
In my country we actually have cat onesies specifically for aftersurgery period. For me these cones were always dog only thing, so was pretty interesting to see the country differences.
We have a little “dog" vest that we use for my cat when he needs to leave his skin alone. (He has an allergic reaction to gnat bites, he’s an indoor cat but occasionally a gnat gets in when we go in and out a door, and if he gets bite, the itchy feeling causes him to try to chew his own fur off, we give him a bath and then put the vest on until he heals enough to leave it alone). It’s happened 3 times in his life, so not often but the vest works so much better than the cone.
i'm one of those "here since you still lived with your parents" viewers and i'm so sorry to hear about pogie. i hope he has as many comfortable days with you and your family as possible.
(after you mentioned pogie i started thinking "what about lemon? i wonder how he's doing" and slowly started to think that i had imagined him but then you mentioned him right at the end and i felt so vindicated hahaha)
Cats can be almost as happy to see their friends/family after a while apart as dogs are, as long as the cats have gotten used to be with other cats. :)
My kitties always were there to greet me when I went out and came back.
For sure - though they typically don't do well with moving out of their territory. To visit Frankie when they're older, Shrimp and Sunny would have to leave the territory they've gotten used to, and that's really scary for cats! Also, even if they know each other, they can forget each other if their scents change. Sometimes when I bring one cat back from a brief trip to the vet, the other hisses at him, because he smells weird. With those things combined, there won't be much way for the separated cats to visit each other comfortably.
My cat is obsessed with his big sister but if she spends just one night at the vet he’s like “I HAVE NO IDEA WHO YOU ARE!” when we bring her home. 😂
yeah and it works best if there's not too much time between the visits, if a lot of time has passed doing scent exchanging before them meeting can get them to remember each other. from what i know if the cats are either family or if they lived with each other a long time before being separated they usually will be fine when they see each other again even if it has been quite a while. actually one of our cats and my partner's parents' cat clearly miss each other and are really happy when they meet, they nuzzle and groom each other way more than when they lived together, but only if it's in the house they both lived together in, when the other cat comes here (to be taken care of while his owners are travelling) he's clearly a bit more stressed and interacts with our cat less. they also haven't seen each other since we got another cat here because we would need to first get our new cat and this cat introduced and that's hard when they don't live in the same house.
@@madelinemaria4197😅 "I've never met this cat in my life."
as someone who somehow recently ended up with two cats who don’t get along, i would love to see further updates on introducing snap and the kitties
Jackson Galaxy has great advice on fixing bad cat relationships - it doesn’t always work, but it’s definitely worth trying :)
@@JaimieAnne
thank you so much!! i’ll have a look :)
I love them running around in the background
The kittens are so cute I love the kitten steam updates
Thank you so much for a sewer kitten update! I know you said it’s the final one but please keep doing occasional cat updates we would love to see more of them
SEWER CATS! I'm obsessed with them. At least they're all okay YAAAAY AND WE KEEP THEM
As a vet tech, god what a wonderful owner Kayla is. The effort she's put in to making this transition smooth for the cats, she's obviously done a lot of research and has a lot of consideration for them. Her passion and enthusiasm for getting them every little medical thing they need and making sure they have the smoothest transtion into their homes. I guarentee her vet staff thinks of her warmly and honestly that certificate of bravery was probably for you, not your cat - staff can recognize good but anxious owners and will sometimes use the method of soothing a stressed owner by making a big deal out of how well their pet did
My cat heard “Snappy got a certificate” and walked over, stood over my shoulder, and “murph.”
I don’t think she approves of Snap getting one while she didn’t get one lol (when she was spade, which was early this year)
Oh, I love a black cat with one white whisker! My grandma's black cat was like that. Hope Snap can get used to them without too much trouble.
Sunny seems like a toddler who forgets that not everyone follows her.
All cute beans
Wonderful that Frankie and her kittens are all doing well and that Snap is doing okay after her surgery. Love updates about your cats!
Having one heck of a Monday and this video made me feel better.
Kitters are adorable happy to hear they have a forever home
This is awesome for the sewer cats. You re doing things so well. Introducing cats slowly is so important. Best wishes for Poggi.
Sweet Snappy and sweet void babies! I’m glad both Sims households can start getting used to your new, more-kitties-in-the-house, normal.
They’re so cute, I’m glad they were found
You’re so knowledgeable and 100% correct on all the kitty info in this video!! I work at an animal rescue full time and you definitely know what you’re talking about simsie! Congrats on the new family members and they are in great hands with you.
I just lost one of my cats on Thursday, so it was such a joy seeing these two babies run around and hearing that Snap, Frankie, and Sam are doing well. I'll be keeping you, your family, and Pogey in my thoughts.
Sorry about Pokey. When I lost my childhood cat, I cried so hard I had to call in sick from work. His name was Simon and we had 20 glorious years together. ❤
I just adopted two bonded year old litter mates after my prior cat crossed the rainbow bridge. It is so fun watching them play together, sleep together and clean each other! My Trixie looks like your Sunny. They also call to each other when in different rooms
SIMSIE IM SOOO PROUD of you!!!! I've had cats all my life and also did like animal school, so to see you do EVERYTHING right by these cats (the introducing, the rests, the eating), like all of them, it just brings me so much loved and joy!!!! I hope you will still have some great memories to make with Pogie and hope Snap, Sunny and Shrimp will grow to love each other !
The kittens look like a Bombay breed, I have a big boy of that breed! They can grow up to around 10-15lbs and are super active, super cute, and adventurous! So happy for you Simsie!!
I think my cat may have some Bombay in him. He's black, big & very vocal.
My kitty is part of that breed, and she is pretty big and very affectionate. She's not super active but just the average which is fine.
That could why all the kittens are black
i love your description of Sunny because my black cat is exactly the same, crying when she cant see anyone, has the bug eyes, small, and quite rat like. I just hope she doesn't pick up my cats habit of stealing socks!!
it was so interesting to warm up my adult cat to the kitten my gf and i got. our friend also found a pregnant street cat and she had a litter of SIX so we took one of the boys. our older cat hates his guts at first of course but after a few weeks of the training she groomed him for the first time and we died from the cuteness. theyve been best friends who occasionally brawl ever since
The sewer cat saga has been a full on era
Cutest little void kitties in the world! And Snap is such a wonderful, brave girl!
I'm imagining Snap being horrified, like 'oh my god what *are* these???' 😆🙈
I love how much patience and care you're putting into making sure all your babies stay comfortable and get used to each other! So many people would just stick them in a room together and let them figure it out, but you're doing a great job of helping Snap feel secure with these new additions. 💝 They're going to have such a happy life with you taking care of them!
The orange slice cone!!!!!
My senior cat is in the same boat! Early renal disease, but loves the Hills k/d thank goodness. She's also in a cone but for a skin infection :( hoping for a quick as speedy recovery!
I remember you talking about Pogey, I’m so sorry to hear about him 💔
I understand the whole hissy grown cat thing when introduced to a new kitten because I found a kitten in a brush pile and took him in and my Miss Meow hated and still hates seeing Nibbler through the gate despite him having been here for near a year now.
im so glad the kittens and frankie are all doing good and settling in their homes! im also so happy that snappy is doing okay, i had an older cat who had two surgeries at the ages of 16 and 18 so i know how scary it is. and im so sorry to hear about the tuxedo cat :( my cat also had cancer so i know how heartbreaking it is. you’re doing so well with all this cat stress kayla. wishing you and all the kitties all the best ❤❤❤
Aww, how cute! The kittens let you hold them for the thumbnail!!😊❤
FLOOFY CHARCOALS
I used to have a momma cat and a kitten. At first it was a mothernal bliss, soft speech meows (mom cats talk differently with their kittens, it's adorable). Year 2 through year 4 were unberable. They kept fighting constantly over pack leader position. Their fights included recruiting human allies, so both of them love bombed somebody from a household
rest in peace pogie-sending all my love to you and your family kayla
Love the cat update. happy to hear they are doing well, sad to hear about Pogi. have been through that with a few of ours. Of course hoping to see many more cat updates. And yes you are doing a very good job of introing the cats to eachother. we did similar plans. and we were up to 14 at one point was so happy sadly only 2 now. hoping to get more in the future.
They’re so stinkin cute! So glad all the kitties have found their forever homes. ❤
So sorry to hear about Pogie, I remember seeing them in your videos way back when you just started out. Sending love 🖤
Shrimp reminds me of my cat! His name is Midnight and he is all black and *very large*. I didn't know him as a kitten, but I bet he had huge paws
I’m so sorry to hear about your boy getting cancer, it’s a hard thing to handle. I recently lost my black baby, Hades to it and it really hit hard for us. But he’s surely happier now than he was. The best way I could comfort myself during the whole thing was to just give him all the love and tell myself that he understands (even if he really didn’t).
Lots of love for you and your family (cats included), I hope that whatever happens you can all find peace.
On another, more positive, note: My family also just recently took in a young cat from outside, and lord are they so energetic. We’ve only have old cats for several years now, and so suddenly having this little ball of pure energy is crazy. Especially since she’s a nibbler, we’re hoping to untrain this behavior, but she is not cooperative.
Little Artemis is still absolutely adorable and a real cuddler. She’s pure white and soft like a kitten (shaped a bit like one too), so we assume she’s probably within her first year, but she’s pretty big already.
Black cats are the best ❤ they are both adorable. Glad mama and babies are doing awesome.
So glad your sewer rats and Snap are doing well! So sorry to hear about Pogie💖🫂
Jackson Galaxy would be proud of your introduction lol
My in-laws had the most chill cat. He experienced a new kitten joining the household, their daughter a her cat moving in for a few years after college, and us with our 2 cats living with them for a few months during a move. He even said "hey" to a family dog coming up to the porch. He was very clear that he was a sweet old guy, that he didn't want to tussle, but that he was cool with cohabitation. He and I had a special bond, probably because I was over there regularly, but not all the time. He did pass, but I like to take comfort that he told my cats all his Uncle stories.
Shrimp and sunny are so adorable omgg
In regards to kidney disease, we added lots of fancy water fountains around the house to increase water intake. I had the cute Catit flower one. Highly recommend it. I also have the Pretty Litter , color changing litter to notify me if there are changes in their health. Sadly, our cat, Pepper, lost her battle with the kidney disease 2 years ago, but we appreciate all the years we were blessed to have with her. I wish Snappy excellent health!
As a soon to graduate vet student, you explaining perfectly how to introduce cats is my day's highlight!
I've had cats for 30 years and youre doing everything right. I'm so happy you've got your sewer cats. I'm also grateful for your acceptance of black cats. There's many who would turn away from helping them or even hurt them. Love ya!❤
They've gotten so big!!! 💝💖💕🐈
Introducing cats reminds me of introducing my rats to each other. Literally the same concept of having to quarantine, scent-swap, small bursts of meeting face-to-face supervised. So funny how animals can be so drastically different but also so similar!
I love the voids, and proud of Snap for being such a brave baby💕💕 thank you for sharing your cats with us!
I relate to this a lot--also have an ancient old lady (rescued, no idea how old but at least 17) who is the sweetest but hisses whenever other animals are around... aaaand then I rescued a fifteen week old kitten left behind a building all by herself 😅 but when we introduced them, my old lady took the new kitten under her wing so everything worked out beautifully. good luck!!
I luv those kitties and it's fr so amazing how great you and your family take care of them
Thank you so much for providing homes for all these black cats, black cats are so difficult for shelters to get adopted so many meet a sad end.
I have my own black little rescue and she’s the best. Best of luck to you and all your black nuggets ❤
The update we needed. Thank you lilsimsie.
My Mom also found a cat that had 3 cloned kittens. It's so funny to watch people see them for the first time because they look the same but they have massive size differences, we have a an extra small, a medium, and an extra large. It's so goofy to see them all side by side. I'm glad you have kept all the kittens and the Mama!
I've been watching you since 2015 and I feel like a proud big sister ToT you have grown to be such a good person, my heart
As a vet tech, I love these updates. You’re doing what’s best for the kitties and that’s all that matters. Also, I’m so sorry about Pogie 💜
oh my god i always forget that lemon looks just like one of my cats and then u show him and i’m like omg twins!! glad the void kittens are doing well :)))
Wow, this felt so familiar! I also have two young black cats and one 15 year old that isn’t very fond of them. She also had teeth removed earlier this year and was recently diagnosed with early stage kidney disease. She is still full of energy and lovey, and doesn’t mind her medication food too much, but it’s so hard to deal with the reality of her aging😭
Thank you for the update on your sewer babies. I love cats. I have two myself. Snap's pictures after dental surgery were adorable! Please share more about your fur babies.
So sweet! I just got two kittens (brothers) recently as well! They have all kinds of pattern/markings, but they are still nearly IDENTICAL. The only way I can tell mine apart is by their back right feet. One has an all white foot while the other only has white toes.
Cute lil devils
Shrimp’s paws are GINORMOUS, he’s so cute 😭🥹🥹 he’s like one of those Clydesdale horses with big fluffy feet
"This one is Sunney... She also has no idea you exist."
cracked me up xD
Jumbo Shrimp--love the update-TY. Love your Tux he reminds me of my long gone baby. Understand your heartbreak. I have no problem with 15 minutes of cat talk. LOVE it.
You look so happy with the babies 🥺💖
awe, everyone is lucky you all found each other....your family and the kitties!!! I have six cats...a 15 & 16 year old, two 3 year olds and two 1 year olds....couldn't imagine my family without them!!!
Thank you for the update!! You and your family are doing such a great job, I’m sure all the kittens will be happy and healthy from now on !! And don’t hesitate to update us more in the future
I'm so glad these kitties got good homes. Black cats can sometimes get the short end of the stick because they're considered "bad luck." I have a black cat too and adore her!
hello sismie! love the kittens, so cuddlyyy and congrats!!
Im sorry about Pogie. I lost my childhood cat in 2021 to cancer and the little kitten we got shortly before it all went down helped us to go through it all. Cats that you grow up with are so special,it’s a different kind of bond ❤
Sending love to you and your family today ❤
I also have two sweet rescue cats who are now 2 years old - when we first got them, Sage was so tiny and scrawny ; but he's a huge cat now, so there's really no telling what will happen 😂 He also hates being alone, so whenever he's in a room without me or his sister, he starts yelling - Sunny might not grow out of this one 😭 I've been loving the cats update, I can't wait to see more of them !
