The picture of Andres Gimeno is not correct. since that is most certain Andres Gomez;)
I agree. The picture of Andrés Gimeno is incorrect. I have never seen a coloured picture of him.
True, the picture of Andrés Gimeno is not correct, sorry. Thanks, I'll keep it pinned so everyone can see it. ✅
@@clementeperez2870not a problem to color a picture these days, anyway it's Gomez in the frame instead of Gimeno at '72 😅
We'll never see a tennis player more dominant in Roland Garros like Nadal ever again
Yeah, may be Rafa cant win so much titles if his era was more competitive on clay .One Dominic Thiem, one Djokovic, one Coria, who struggles a lot of injuries.
@@russell896 He was playing in one of the most competitive Tennis eras ever? He beat Thiem and Djokovic on multiple occassions
@@mazukai6525 who knows, may be in future era of competition will be more competitive.Tennis need nore rivalries, for example in mid 80, and early 90s it was an era of Sampras ,Agassi, Edberg, Becker, Wilander, even Lendl, .Are you thinking about it?What a strong era it was?I think Rafa not met a strong competitor on clay, only Thiem and Djokovic.
We will never know.
Spain Team is unbelievable 👏🏼👏🏼 and Rafa is just Amazing 💎🏆
Rafa on Clay is a God among men. Highest level of tennis ever achieved.
Björn Borg is impressive, but when you see Nadal he leaves you speechless...
Borg retired when he was just 26 I’m sure if he had kept his hunger he would have won a few more, but agree Nadal just incredible on clay
It's all about Nadal
2005..then came rafa..
Imagine Federer not break Nadal 8 consecutive wins😂
Blame Söderling
This puts in perspective how monumental what Nadal achieved at RG is; that's why many stars, of different sports not just tennis, say that Nadal's 14 wins in RG is the singular toughest achievement in sport, period. It will never be repeated.
The 60s...what a decade for the Aussies! 5 different consecutive winners!!
Increíble
Viva España 🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸
Thanksss
Rafa is the real clay king! Stunning persistence
Facts🙌
The fact that since in RG started participating not only french players but all the rest Europe no french players ever won the RG title is weird. A single exception Jannick Noah just emphasises this fact.
The fact that since 1925 RG is "Internationaux de France de tennis"...and just for your culture René Lacoste won vs Bill Tilden(USA) in 1927...and Bill Tilden ( still USA !) lost vs Henri Cochet in 1930,in 1932 Henri Cochet won vs Giorgio De Stefani (Italy)...only french players you said?
@@schnaps54 perhaps you will also find the data how many of 128 players were french and how many from other countries? (More then 30-40% I hope?) Perhaps you will also google what does it mean Open Era in tennis. Perhaps you will think of a fact how difficult was it those days to get from one continent to another, that means just a few really good players were able and wished to participate in it. All this means these were mainly french tournaments with a few good players from abroad those days, and there was no international Glory in that victories.
Nadal ❤
Last American? Agassi 1999!😧 Before him 1992 Courier 😣
Novak Djokovic, o único a vencer tendo Nadal na chave.💪💪🏆👑
Music 4:00 please ?
It's "Advection Stride - Cybercore" track
Very strange to see Taylor Dent on cover for video😂
Imagine if it was Taylor Dayne´s picture
now I see why french hated Nadal so much 😂
How was the court at the very first times? I don't think it was clay.At least not like today's clay. And most probably it wasn't hard surface. It must have been grass probably??? Can anyone who know certainly answer??????
Jokeovic only won when nadal was injured
Works for Federer as well if you put it this way then, he wouldn't have his only career grand slam now if not for Soderling, who pulled off a shocker in 4th round that season! Lol Beating Federer at the French Open by that point was just another day in the office for Nadal, wouldn't be any different if they were to meet again in the final...lmao as for Djokovic he was way closer to beating nearly peak Nadal in five sets in the semis of 2013 FO, in fact only one bad smash away from pulling it off than Federer ever was in his entire career...and while Djokovic never beat peak version of Nadal, he did manage to beat him twice, a feat no other player achieved...
You're a tool
Anyone know why they didn't play 1940 to 1945? What the hell happened there?
Maybe courts were under siege.
Jaja segunda guerra mundial
World War 2
Where is pete sampras?
Never won it unbelievably😮
Even Nazi player has won the French open
Nazi germany didn't exist in 1934-35. Gt a grip in german history
Who?
Play ground for Spaniards! 😂
why France is not able to produce another champion?
Too good wine. Why shall you choose again and again hard, sweaty training sessions if a beautiful woman and juicy wine are waiting for you tonight.
The French are soft.
