The one common thing that I have learned from toppers is that they learn to learn. My friend got IITM EE branch but his goal is to go for reasearch, then I thought that learning is the most important thing.
Going for JEE ruins your Life - 1) In those 2 years (11th and 12th ) you study like mad and Don't enjoy your life. And when you get big paying jobs the company makes you work a lot . So you don't enjoy much in office life as well because you work 12 hours plus . So even you earn so much money you just don't live your life .

IIT not related to reservation. But IIT employability is just 47.85% 13 lakh say 10 thousands. And employability. So IIT is not able full fill PhD 🪑🪑🪑💺💺💺. Reason IIT brand is different from IIT quality. Approximately 2500 students left from IIT, and take admission in private colleges. This data is showing by government. आईआईटी में एडमिशन ले कर, दूसरे कॉलेज में जाना का कोई तो कारण होगा। और यह हर साल बढ़ता जा रहा है।

Very honest interview... I really appreciate it ... I know a few students who took very low branches Like textile, Environmental & BSC Chemistry etc in top 6 IITs just for the sake of the tag … they had no interest in their branch which had no core job opportunity … they are frustrated & in very low paying jobs … in fact one of these students from textile Engg IIT delhi did not get a single offer in campus placement was jobless & hence has decided to pursue CAT
My cousin has taken environmental engineering in IIT BOMBAY. Still she'll get a job of atleast 15 lpa because it is IIT. People in lower branches get high paying jobs too. This is what I have listened but I haven't witnessed any cases till now. The reason she gave for joining was - scope of environmental is only going to increase in future and maybe it is true.

Average package at IITs are only 7 to 8 lakhs rest 1 crore package is only for cse branch at top IITs and after performing the best amongst the 1000 students... In case if you don't get iit or nit and if you do your engineering from a private college then your life will be ruin... So it's my ADVICE drop your coaching and start preparing for other compitition exam like CLAT , UPSC , etc..

I know a few students who took very low branches Like textile, Environmental & BSC Chemistry etc in top 6 IITs just for the sake of the tag … they had no interest in their branch which had no core job opportunity … they are frustrated & in very low paying jobs … in fact one of these students from textile Engg IIT delhi did not get a single offer in campus placement was jobless & hence has decided to pursue CAT
My cousin has taken environmental engineering in IIT BOMBAY. Still she'll get a job of atleast 15 lpa because it is IIT. People in lower branches get high paying jobs too. This is what I have listened but I haven't witnessed any cases till now.
The reason she gave for joining was - scope of environmental is only going to increase in future and maybe it is true.
