Detaching from the outcome is a requirement for ALL success. This is a great summary of this book & the first time I've heard of this individual. I'm excited to learn more about Rick Rubin's perspective.
I can't remember where I heard this from, but it was, "create/build what you would have needed." Ultimately, what inspires us to take action is recognizing a gap in our personal experiences. "If I had this" or "If I had known that" & we then create a product or service that provides what we would have wanted for ourselves, for others. The end result solving our own problem.
There was such great insights in this video & reminded me that the audience is what's in the mirror. Your biggest fan, supporter, & client is YOU.

Really enjoyed the video, man. A very important topic and close to my heart, having just started my own creative journey.
Small feedback for improvement: There are quite a few typos in the text - perhaps you could implement a system for spotting them better.

Thank you for the feedback. At the end I got alittle too excited to get it out should have reviewed it once more.

One thing I personally witness is people just create content for the abyss and don't interact with the people that actually consume the content and reach out. As you scale, that's not so practical, but when first coming up, it's non-negotiable. Not everyone is going to just pay you right away because people looking to grow are already drowning in a sea of coaches laying the same guilt trips about how they need to change and that they must pay for that change. So people feel like creators and coaches are disingenuous from the start.

12:25 mark mentioning going to your audience and asking for feedback is the direct opposite of his approach. Art is for you, not your audience. Content creation on CZcams hardly qualifies as fitting into the mantras of "The Creative Act." You're nothing without your audience... you're not creating art, you're creating content. There's a huge difference.

Your right he does mention your the audience that matters however he also says “when receiving end of feedback our task is to set aside ego and work to fully understand the critique offer” In his book he actually mentioned going for feedback.
I could be wrong but art is subjective, again is his book he references how even creating a business is art for some so why not content?
