      this was great, however, when viewing envelopes, the font, size and spacing (two spaces instead one one) was different than selected in the delivery address block. the sender address was correct. How do you change this? thanks, Tom D.

    Super Helpful video ! I troubleshooted for some time with the printing. For anyone else out there not technically sound like myself, don't forget to adjust the tray settings manually on your printer itself.

    @Kevin... thanks for the vid and I recently subscribed to 365. In my Word --> Mailings, I don't have a Wizard option. Any ideas if this was removed from the latest office subscription and what would be the work around?

    Great videos. Why did you use the "address block/next record- address block" in the merge labels video, but not the merge envelopes video? Does it just advance to the next address automatically within the envelope program vs the label program?

      Hey karen - with the address labels, you have multiple labels appearing on the same page, so you need to let word know to advance to the next record. With envelopes, you only have one address per page so there’s no need to tell word to use the next record... it’ll just do so automatically when advancing to the next page. Cheers!

    Thank you. I could use a print format tutorial. I keep getting print fields all over the place in actual printing. It looks fine on the screen, but either prints blank or very strange margins.

    Video is great! Hopefully I can use it for addressing the envelopes for my daughter's wedding invitations. Is there anyway to change the font on mail merge. I changed the font on my excel spreadsheet but it doesn't seem to be using my font.

    I'm following your instruction step by step on mail merging. first I go to mailings, then I select start mail merge, in the drop down I only have letters, email messages, envelopes labels, directory and normal word document. I was wondering why my program doesn't look like yours? What must I do to get the step by step drop down added to my selection.

    Thanks for your instructions. I tried to do the mail merge on customer envelop size, 7 x 5. Everything works according to your instructions. I typed in the return address. Then when I chose “address block”, it appears at the return address area, not the delivery address area. I put my cursor around the delivery address area, but it jumped right back to the return address area. I then tried #10 envelops. Still the same. Would you please let me know how can I fix this problem? Thanks very much.

    Hi Kevin great video but... how do you get the wizard to show up on the right side of the document. Also when I tried to select the cells it tells me there is no data, where I have 34 rows of data. I do have titles like name and address but it doesn't put check boxes in my excel spreadsheet either. So I'm doing something wrong. Can you tell me how to get the side wizard first?

    Hello! So cool. Thank you! All my contacts have 2 physical USPS mailing addresses. I have "This is the mailing address" checked for each contact's home address. What is the easiest way to mailmerge the business address all at one time without having to manually go to each contact and checkmark the business address as the mailing address? I've done some due diligence on this and I'm thinking I can create another subfolder with a duplicate contact list and select the business address as the mailing address, that would work, but it would be cleaner if there were some sort of way to toggle between the mailing addresses etc...

    In the video the print preview looks as though the return address and the recipient adrress would be printed on an 8.5" X 11" paper and to an envelope.

    Kevin, I recalled in 2010-2013, one could address envelopes using MS Word, and we could include USPS pre-sort metered code with the address.
    Does that metered feature option exist in 2013, 2016, 2019, and or 365?

    thanks Kevin. great video. I am having a minor issue that I noticed you had also but you did not notice. The NAME line is indented 1 space to the right so that it does not line up with the address and city lines. you did not notice on your example. I could not figure it out

    Kevin, why is word putting my addresses in the return address field. When I get to arrange your envelope and at inset merge fields I click insert, which is in the right order, it puts the first name in the return address field.

    All was good until I got to the Browse part. I found my Excel sheet and clicked on Open. Then I get a box "Confirm Data Source" that defaults to OLE DB Database Files. ???? If I then click on "Show All" my only Excel choice is MS Excel Worksheets via DDE (*.xls) ???? and Word will not connect to this. Help!

    Nice. I have an existing main document envelope with logo and name and address. Problem is trying to use a particular group of contacts from my icloud contacts list. If you choose outlook it either uses outlook contacts or all icloud contacts; no longer giving the option of choosing a particular group like before.

    I'm doing wedding invitations. The inner envelopes will have only the name of the guest. sometimes their kids names will be below theirs. How do I center each name correctly on the envelope? I don't see where the 3 usual justify choices are available like they are in a regular word document.

    I am using a excel sheet with 180 addresses. my printer only holds like 10 envelopes at a time. every time printer says empty, I put in envelopes and press done on printer. Some how Word is not printing in sequence like the Excel sheet has names. It skips names / rows and column and not in order.

    Hi Kevin. I have over 300 recipients. I did the mail merge ok but want to take it to Fedex for them to print. When I tried to save the completed merged document, it only saved the one recipient on the screen. How do I save the merged file for printing later?

    Why isn't this an option in outlook itself? I have to go into another program to go back to the program with the information to print. Is there a why to print envelopes DIRECTLY FROM OUTLOOK?
    Why isn't there an option to choose a printer without having to go back to PRINTERS CHANGE THE DEFUALT than open word? Print the envelope on the printer you want and than go back and change your default printer back to the one you want.

I have a system that exports names and mailing addresses in to word document but I can't figure out how to make each of those names/addresses attach itself to a single envelope.     Hello Kevin and Seasons greetings Sir. I have Office 2003 and when I use mail merge with Excel as the database I cannot add, delete or edit through Word, only Excel as the Word mail merge recipients edit box just below "clear all" is unavailable. When I use an Access database or type a list through Word I can add, delete or edit through either one. Am I doing something wrong. Thank you.

      Try just hitting the space key in the return address area. This is technically a character and the software will see it as such but nothing will print.

    That won't print on envelopes it will only print on the 8.5x11 sheet
