Hi guys, I just got here since there is not a lot of reactions to Juana Molina. Juana has been on the INDIE/UNDERGROUND in EUROPE and US for quite some time and have performed across all over the world. It has been tagged as a kind of latin America Björk. You could , maybe, react to her performance live on Glastonbury on 2014 - It's hard to pick a song since is so diverse but my first suggestion would be "Dia uno" (ONE DAY) , number 4 (12:53) of her performance: czcams.com/video/bNpYNXIxWqc/video.html It is hard to listen this music since have samples and loops, but once you get used to, its kind of comfortable numbing as you have already experience. If i may give you an advice would be to stop the song after a few seconds and express each other feelings about what you have heard and maybe de-compose the song that way. It would be maybe nice to see you react to an Argentinian Band called "Soda Stereo" (Alternative Rock Band) who have been in the Latin America scene for a long time from ending 80's, all the 90's until 20014 . Unfortunately. his lead singer (Gustavo Cerati) passed away on 2014. Gustavo also was a leading rock singer on Latin America. My suggestion to start or begin to getting to know this band is reacting to "La Ciudad de la Furia" (City of Fury) a 1988 song who they re-mastered on 2007. czcams.com/video/VoGwvVoaoCw/video.html My last suggestion would be to know SUMO (Also from Argentina) . SUMO have born in 1981 and died with its singer in 1987, Luca Prodan. Luca was born in Italy from an Scottish Mother and Austrian Father but lived his teenage life on London on the 70's... to end up in Argentina at the ´80's bringing with him influences from SEX PISTOLS and JOY DIVISON, but also with reggae and Ska, really wired mix. Most of his songs were between English and Spanish. They were really up to the speed on INDIE Alternative ROCK music with Sounds like Red Hot Chili Peppers or U2 to Bob Marley really early. SUMO has been off or overlooked from the mainstream in Europe/US since had a very short period, as I said, with their Lead Singer dead who was an incredible song composer... but from this band members, two new bands born and have been part of the Argentinian rock Music as "SODA STEREO" in the 90's, until today. "DIVIDIDOS" and "LAS PELOTAS" two bands that been leading the rock scene. One commercial song for SUMO albums is "Blowing up form the Ocean": czcams.com/video/4kREf_oDsxw/video.html or you can check: "Vierna Lisi" Song about how Luca was in love from an actress from a TV movie: czcams.com/video/wpyNSDyEgCc/video.html SUMO is a Cult band nowdays in Chile, Argentina and Uruguay.
