I have just found your page & I have to say it is fantastic, you break it down & simplify everything which makes it so much easier for a novice like me. Thank you
Thanks Peter, glad that the lesson works for you. Thanks also for taking the time to post perhaps you would consider subscribing if you haven’t already 👍
Not only is this video great you actually show the standard you get from your Patreon site unlike Cyborg who gave me a nasty reply for saying their CZcams video was to short!
Meet Me in the Morning is the simplest on Blood on the Tracks. It’s a basic blues riff. He uses two fingers picking the sixth and four string with the thumb and uses the pointer and middle finger to pick the Higher stings. He bends the high E string at third fret then open, then bends B string at third fret and open B. The both open. Then plays first fret G string and second fret B string (for an A chord in the Open tuning). The key to the song is the picking rhythm. Enjoy.
Hi Joe. Thanks. Just beginning to explore Open Tunings. Question: Why don't you just play all the open strings to make the E chord rather than playing the 2 fingered version you show? What's the significance of that G# played on 4th string?
Nothing is daft if you’re not sure Michael no problem yeah always try and tune without the carpool and then check once you put the capo on because very often it will throw it slightly out of tune. I hope that helps you
other tutorials make this song seem harder than it actually is. This is a great lesson, and I was able to learn this song, so thank you!
Thanks

Best class ever, bro. Thanks. After decades, I finally can play this song with the right chords as Dylan.

What i love about your lessons is unlike others on CZcams there is not too much talking at the beginning,!
Agreed. Many just talk more than they should and by the time they start the lesson l'm already half asleep. LOL
My favourite Dylan album and most of it in open D. Thanks a lot for sharing, posting and teaching. Much appreciated.
Dylan’s best albums !
Really fine lesson here, and what an excellent, thorough teaching approach. Thank you.
Hey Tom thanks 🙏
Beautiful. This and Carson McKee’s version the best on YT.

So awesome. Simple as that yet this is the best tutorial out there. Is that a D35? Sounds like one. Sounds like mine. Pretty.
Great lesson.
Thank you 😊
One of my favorites, too - ever since it appeared way back then. Very fine performance - why did you leave the last verse out ?
Anyway - thx !

Geez, what are the chances that I was practicing "Buckets of Rain" and your lesson popped up at the same time!
Ha ha, that's a coincidence Jim !
@@JoeMurphysGuitarlessons And my guitar is already in open D!
Yep most of the album ( Blood on the tracks ) is in open D
great scouse accent. thanks. will record a version at the weekend.
Hey your welcome 🙏
@@JoeMurphysGuitarlessons hey joe, well I opted for a standard tuning version in the end. check it out if you like. rixy
Love it! Nicely done. It would be great if you cover Meet Me In the Morning from the same album.
Thanks Ken, I best take a look at that, so many people have already asked me, to cover it !

@@GaryBook Awesome tips! Blues in E, yes the rhythm is tricky, and trying to play fingertsyle.
@@kenahrweiler The finger picking is what gives it that style of Delta Blues. The pick is the challenge, but the riff is pretty simple.

Who is Dylan after this song? 😁✌️
Just stumbled upon this great piece and started on it today, thanks Joe.👌
Can I please ask what brand your fleece is?
Mountain equipment, I’m usually getting asked what guitar i play not what clothes i wear
How do I find list the sheet with the chords that you mentioned above?

@@JoeMurphysGuitarlessons I appreciate the response, but it didn't help, can't find Simple Twist of Fate Chords Sheet.
Thanks Joe. Daft question, tune the guitar before the capo goes on?

@@JoeMurphysGuitarlessons thank you. Yes that’s what happened. I tuned it. Put the capo on, then it just didn’t sound right.
Chances are the capo made it out of tune
Both.
Great job...Blood on the Tracks was Dylans best in my opinion. Love this song
