Vintage Books Live! with Kim Johnson

We were so honored to welcome award-winning author Kim Johnson back to Vintage Books Live! Kim writes young adult thrillers driven by compelling characters and that tackle tough topics. Her most recent book, The Color of a Lie, features a white-passing black family in the 1950s that moves into a whites-only neighborhood.
In our conversation, we catch up with Kim about all three of her books, talk about tackling tough topics for young people, and the history she came across while researching her most recent book. We also talk about the role books play in dismantling systems of oppression.
