I use to suffer from dysmenorrhea (extreme menstrual pain, vomiting, nausea); however, I now drink Tumeric tea and I no longer have to take any western/European medicine (l.e Ibuprofen 800). Diet plays a major role, so I've been mindful of what I put in my body. Our bodies and are cycles are sacred and we have to treat it as such! Peace&Love

I start a day or two before my cycle and throughout the first day of my cycle.
      1/2 teaspoon Tumeric
      1/2 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
      1/2 teaspoon ginger root
Bring water to a boil. Add ingredients above, lower temp, and let steep for ten minutes.
      Strain into cup and add
      Teaspoon Honey
      1 lemon wedge
      Enjoy!!!

I'm continuing my research in holistic remedies for extreme menstrual cramps. I'm found that Spirulina is good. So I've started to add a teaspoon or so to my smoothies everyday. I'm also interested in trying cramp bark and dong quai tea.

Hi, Danielle Loxs! You mustn't die from cramps: you can make more to prevent your cramps.
I am a nurse and since 1970 I have been studying the strong menstrual pain and the methods to prevent the painful cramps: the period must not cause distress.
You can prevent your pain also by means of an easy method of preventive and progressive thermal stimulation, to "prevent" the pain that you feel and not just to contrast it with some "remedy", only during menstruation, time by time, or suffer unnecessarily.
Please, see also my other messages on this page: we can speak again about this method, if you like, glad to aid you.

Enjoy your videos. LOVE THAT HEADWRAP!!! 3 questions: (1) When will the wrap be available on your site? (2) What's the song that plays at the end of some of your videos? It's not on this one, but I did hear it at the end of your video on Thermanaturals Hair Products. It's the one with the piano riff in it. (3) I know you're on a weight journey, but have you ever tried exercise? While I've not had debilitating cramps, I have heard that the part that cramps is a muscle, and that muscle can be worked like a bicep or glutes or thigh muscle. I notice when I'm on top of my ab crunches, I don't need medication for cramps. And when I go walking for exercise, that muscle warms up and stops hurting. Food for thought.

Thank you for sharing your menstrual pain tips with us. I have a few more of my own to share.
First off, please find a good gynecologist that will take your menstrual pain seriously. Don’t minimize your pain, or pretend it’s not a problem. If it is significantly disrupting your life, your work, or your peace, you need to get it addressed. Don’t listen to anyone who tells you otherwise.
If you find a good gynecologist and they have diagnosed you with endometriosis, PCOS, fibroids, etc., ask about pelvic floor Botox. Therapeutic Botox is available to help manage pain for these conditions.
Finally, speaking to whether or not you can be intimate with the menstrual discs-yes! They worked out great for me and my partner. I love those discs because they are affordable, and great for a pool party or the spa-no nasty wet string! 😂😂😂
I like menstrual cups a little better personally b/c they hold more fluid (30 ml average). There’s a learning curve putting them in, but both the discs and the cup rest at the opening of your cervix to collect blood. If you have a higher cervix, look for a cup that’s a little longer so it’s easier to insert and remove.
Again, thank you for having this much needed convo. No one should be ashamed of their periods.❤

Apply heat is nice, but use a heat pad or (better!) a hot water bottle only through pain, is not enough: it makes it more bearable, but it's better to "prevent" cramps.
The hot water bottle can be better used (also added to your advices shared on your video) following an easy method of progressive thermal stimulation to "prevent" the pain that you feel and not just to contrast it with some "remedy" (as you said), only during menstruation, time by time.
