  • The upcoming MSR Switch Stove is pretty remarkable. Matt, with MSR, goes over the features. It will be out Spring 2025 - but we have a tester unit and will have it up in the mountains very soon to test out too :)

will the (cork) handle also fit a regular (1l) windburner pot? The windburner sleeve/handle is probably the worst ever..

Has a piezo and uses a bloody lighter. LOL. Can't see this being that great - no mention of weight

Feels like a lot of stove making companys are just trying to reinvent the wheel to be honest. I super happy with my Optimus Polaris and Optimus Crux.

That pot does not look like it is on there secured at all, compared to other designs. Most design it recessed into the stove and pot. This does not look like a good product at all. I would not buy this in my opinion. Better stoves out there if want a stove and heat distribution couplers.

@@boywonder2799 The Windburner system and the Reactor do a similar thing to prevent the burner unit from falling if it gets knocked. Never really seen this before super effective but that is the methodology. A pot on a stove like a pocket rocket sits equally as insecure. But I see what you’re saying. I personally prefer a secure fixture like what Jetboil does. I think we will see more refinement on the design to support the added fuel efficiency of the rounded pot bottom. I’m not sure if I like the dead space the pot design will create in a pack though.

It's meant to give you flexibility rather than pigeon-hole you to using 1 type of boiling vessel, hence the pot is weighed down by the weight of the water on the stove.
