- Hello everyone! In this video I am making our Lemon Cake Donut Scented Wax Melts. Wax melts are used for home fragrance. Simply pop one or two pieces into a wax warmer/melter, allow to melt, and enjoy the fragrance released. See below for helpful links.

Those are so CUTE!! As for your original molds that you don't use much, why not trim down the middle silicone pieces with a pair of scissors or an exacto- knife? Thanks for the great videos!!
Thank you Denise. I don't think I could alter them in a way that I would be satisfied. That being said though, I paid enough money for them that I don't actually want to alter them. I may want that different design for a project someday.

These are freaking adorable!! I’m just got a sample wax melt in Glazed Donut by Northwood Candle Supply, and now I MUST order and make wax melts for the first time. It has a bread quality to it that is still sweet, but not sickening. Never thought I would go for donut scents before.
Thanks! Oh that's so fun. I just went and looked at that fragrance and now my cart is nearly $700. Northwoods is a great supplier but I usually forget about them. I'm going to have to do some seriously narrowing down. LOL

This was so soothing to watch after a long day in my own studio! These are just stinking adoradle! I burnt out my own wax warmer during the holidays and need to replace it badly! I love to scent my home with fragrance! My dogs even live it. When they come in from outdoors they'll all nose hit the warmer, lol! My husband calls them junkies, and it makes me roll with laughter every time he says it. It's in his tone! Ridiculous, I am telling you!

Could the sprinkles be put into the mold first, before pouring the wax? Or could they sprinkled into the wax after pouring? Loved the look of your doughnuts, thanks!
Thank you! When the sprinkles are put in the mold first, it embeds them into the wax. It works but it's not the look I prefer. Additionally, I want them to be on top of the dip and it just doesn't work out the same.

Thank you! I think they can be used for soap but you'd have to make sure it was really set up before removing.
omg I want to eat em..so well done. im curious about the glitter and the sprinkle things in the melter. I've asked many but no one will respond. lol. what happens to the glitter in the melter ? does it come right out or is extra cleaning required? if you were to have a silicone tray in the melter what happens to the glitter then? once the melter cools does it all just come out at once? also what is that glitter air thing your using?
They always turn out so cute! The glitter usually just comes out with the wax. I don't find it to be problematic at all. When the wax is cooled, it just comes out all at once. You might need to give the bowl a quick wipe with a paper towel but I do that anyway. If you use a silicone tray, it would be the same thing. The dispenser is called a Dry Mica/Glitter Spray Pump.
Working from home what do you suggest I store my wax melts like these in and my embeds as well?
I would package them in polypropylene of some sort. I usually just bag mine to get ready to list.
Holly, Can't you use scissors and modify the original molds to be more like your newer molds?
I don't think I could cut them in a way that I would be satisfied. That being said, I don't think I'll try because I paid quite a lot for those molds and may have a use for them someday.
i assume you put the melts in a cello bag. How many do you put in the bag and how do you close it up?
I use polypropylene bags with a zipper top.
They look like real donuts. And... Now I want actual donuts, lol.
I would take a lemon cake donut for reals too. Haha!

They don't really melt in my experience.
Do you still make wax melts or just soap now?
I have wax melts on my website currently. But I am going on hiatus so today's release will just be the soap that I had on the curing rack and ready to go.
Can you do a video with the items you use because when we see the video the ingredients are always melted thanks
The wax comes in flakes. It is usually melted down in my pot already. I will try to remember when I am back in business and making videos again.

It's just uncolored wax.
How do you box them ?
I put them in polypropylene bags or a bakery bag in bulk.

That's interesting that you had that experience. I have never seen a wax melter get that warm. Perhaps it's time for a new one?

Thank you! I have never noticed an issue with bugs at all. The melts are packaged in polypropylene bags and then in use I still have never noticed anything. Now sometimes when I've been pouring wax all day, I am the one the bugs are attracted to. I smell very delightful! LOL
