  • Sitting in the lawns of the tomb where the second Nawab of Awadh lies, under the evening skies, the Karavan will take you through the golden streets of Shiraj - e - Hind, as Awadh was once proudly called, on the 22nd of May, Sunday. Awadh along with Delhi is synonymous with the Ganga Jamuni Tehzeeb. It's multicultural traditions, ethnicity, poetry, cuisine all came together to lend it's famous phrase " Subah e Benaras, Shaam e Awadh." Through stories, we will weave our way across the gentle waters of the Gomti, turning to greet the Nawabs in the palaces, take pride in Begum Hazrat Mahal's act of bravery during the mutiny, waft through the royal kitchens, gaze at the glamorous courtesans displaying their exotic charms and hear some interesting anecdotes of the famed Delhi Awadh rivalry. We will also discuss the rise and fall of the Nawabs.
Come if you want to understand why the poet Josh wrote these lines in his love for Awadh....
    " कल भी जिसके तज़किरे थे, अंजुमन दर अंजुमन शाम ए अवध है आज भी "
