  • We’ve seen how God repeatedly makes specific predictions about a coming Messiah throughout the books of the prophets, adding layers of details that exponentially decrease the odds of any success of their fulfillment. It’s one of His unique traits (see Isaiah 41:21-24). Today we come to a prediction that is simply off the charts-the prediction that the Messiah would be virgin-born. We explore a bit of why the virgin birth is not an incidental but an absolute necessity.

I would like to see Skip Heitzig and Tovia Singer in a debate about Matthew 1:18-23; as compared to Isaiah 7:14!

The genealogy of Matthew is of Joseph, the adoptive father of Yeshua. Luke gives the genealogy of Mary, allegedly, which would tie Him to the house of David.

I am a Christian who totally believes in the birth of Jesus Christ.
Because my 5-Fold ministry gift is that of a teacher, I study to show others the truth of God’s Word.
This subject has come up, and I am uncertain as to how to explain it. The question deals with biology; a subject in which I am woefully inept.
QUESTION: God was … and … is most assuredly the Father of our Lord, Jesus Christ. But how did Mary NOT taint his birth, biologically, when the umbilical chord was attached from mother to child?
This is a biological question, to which, I truly don’t know the answer; perhaps because biology was ever my strong suit.
I am hopeful that Pastor Heitzig will help me to understand, so that I can explain to others, the fact that this glorious supernatural event was just that. Mary’s part of the birth (biologically) did NOT taint the biological Pureness of Jesus’ divinity.
Thank you for helping me understand this phenomenal event, with regard to Mary’s part, biologically.

Hello Tonee and thank you for watching our CZcams videos!
While the Bible does not give a direct answer here is a link to a website that has many answers to many questions about the Bible - www.gotquestions.org/Jesus-son-of-Mary.html. One thought to consider is that when God first made man although being capable of sin man was sinless by default coming straight from the hand of God. Eve was formed by taking a bodily piece of Adam's anatomy (the rib) and by the hand of God made into a fully formed human.
While the Bible is not clear on the details to which I would argue are to Wonder-full for us to understand (Psalm 139:6) God is capable of doing many things with His creation. The virgin birth of Jesus is a miracle in more ways than one including the obedience of Mary and Joseph. Because Jesus was conceived of the Holy Spirit and not of anything human related perhaps Mary's anatomy was something God worked around to bring about the Savior of the world.
      Hope this helps!

Jesus is not the same as YAHSHUA or Yeshua. Jesus is devoid of any intrinsic meaning of salvation, in other words, there is no correlation within the name Jesus that means salvation.
