- what's up everyone! just picked up this 2008 nissan 350z hr not to long ago and im very happy and excited to introduce it to you. I've always wanted this car and finding one in as clean condition as this one was a dream come true. like any used car it does have its things here and there but overall its a really clean 350z in todays standard (2023). Stay tuned to see the mods I plan on doing and my attempt to making a respectable build. expect to see more POV action, races, and more!!!!

I found a decent one with only a little bit of body damage. High miles but it was taken care of and runs like a champ. Favorite mod I've done so far is the Injen cold air ram intakes. Jealous of the gray color on yours man, it's beautiful. God bless you and drive safe!
these engines can run for a very long time when taken care of! jealous of your intakes! the gray i my z definitely grew on me a lot since i got it also finding out that this specific gray only comes in the HR (: thanks God bless, drive safe as well

Just stumbled upon your video while watching new car vids. I've got a 07 HR 350z too & had it for quite a while now, only a few things I had to replace on mine.
1st thing was a Oil gallery gasket within the timing cover (The factory gasket tends to fail and you'll know when your oil pressure starts reading really low, a healthy idle when warmed up is like 28psi on that gauge). I replaced mine with z1motorsports version that's made of a updated composite steel & are more durable.
2nd thing was the CSC (Clutch Slave Cylinder). These cars have a internal slave cylinder, I ended up just going overkill and getting a ZSpeed Performance 350Z CMAK V3 Clutch Movement Alteration Kit CSC Delete. Z1motorsports also their own kit for this as well. I went ahead and did a stage 2 clutch on mine too when replacing all that while I was down there.
Then you might also want to look at a RJM clutch pedal, that's what I'm putting in next. The Oem clutch pedal is a bit funny how its engineered and has a high engagement point & creates more wear on the master/slave cylinders. the RJM clutch pedals supposed to help with the pedal feel and create less wear on the slave & master cylinder.
Sorry this was so long, just trying to help you out with some of my experience of stuff that failed overtime on my car & replaced myself.
hey! thank you for commenting and the heads up for all that! i definitely have maintenance in mind and the oil gallery gaskets are on my list. oil pressure seems to be reading really good right now but i’ll eventually change it for peace of mind
then for the 2nd and 3rd thing, i’ve heard of doing the csc delete and was most likely going to do that when i upgrade my clutch which should hopefully be soon. (unless it fails me first). and the clutch pedal and the whole engagement felt funny to me from the start!! i’m glad to hear this is a regular thing on 350z’s. i was worried it was just mine. but i’m definitely going to want to upgrade my pedal now that i know i can do that! thanks again!
@@dan.z33Np, ya my oil gallery gasket went out on mine while doing a hard pull & i believe I was around 80k miles when that happened and noticed my oil pressure dropped. Before my clutch pedal went completely out it would start gettin sticky and not returning to the top of its resting position when i learned all about that stuff. One youtuber mentioned to get the most out of the stock slave cylinder & clutch to just push the clutch pedal in enough till it engages and to basically not bottom out the clutch pedal to the floor since it exerts more wear on it all. But I look forward to the build man, I subscribed to keep track of it!
I would check to see if the previous owner already did the oil gallery gasket job tho because it is a bigger job and takes some time to teardown the front of the engine and timing cover to get to. I probably wouldn't bother with it till you notice oil pressure problems, I just wanted to mention it cuz its a known problem till about the 2012 370Z when Nissan changed out the gasket they were using.
@@o50cal yeah so far i’ve been seeing good oil pressure every time i’ve driven it but i’ll forsure be keeping an eye out for that! my z has around 90k miles right now so i know i’m probably getting close to doing some of those things so i appreciate hearing what you had to say! as for my clutch and csc, i think im gonna do what you mentioned reading about, getting the most out of my stock parts, but once i start feeling the stickiness and other stuff you felt, it’s time to head to z1 lmao! but yeah thanks for all the info bro this is my first z and so far i’m loving it and the community. i’m gonna try to be posting everything i do so stay tuned bro!
Hell yeah 08 HR here replaced my gallery gaskets and went zspeed CMAK v3 cmc delete (everyone said z1 cmc delete was meh) i have a jwt weighted flywheel and 6 puck, lightweight flywheel too much chatter. After gaskets and clutch get good true style coil overs and rear bucket delete kit.

I picked up an 08 350z hr about 3 months ago MINTTTTT....I paid more than anyone would guess lol but its crazy low miles all stock one owner enthusiast pkg 6mt black w/ no dents no damage no dings ONLY thing is the stock exhaust rusted and broke a little before the rear muffler
@redlinevqhr yeah bro do it! there’s not many clean stock z’s online right now! there’s a lot of builds but it would be cool to see a stock mint hr like yours. mine is clean for what it is but does have its things. and it’s already got some aftermarket wheels and exhaust so it’s not completely stock lol. but do it bro i’d love to see it. and if you ever do mod it i’d forsure wanna see what you do!

@@DaVerseOfficial i’ve been a manual guy ever since my first car and i’m the type to stand by manual’s til 4ever 😂 i just love the connection and control you have in a manual. don’t get me wrong in the newer generation cars, automatics might be better (faster) but again i just love the feel of a manual. but no matter what, your situation is unique to you, so if you feel an automatic will suit you better for the area you live in, go for it. i love all Z’s so i’d be happy that you’re part of the fam. automatics are usually cheaper too so there’s that!

I bought a 2008 6 speed manual 2008 350Z. Owned it and drove it for 10 years. It’s a fantastic car. So sad I had to sell it.

i have one myself, love it. but i have a few problems like something is draining the batteri and water gets inn on the passenger side but cant see where from. fixing it this year
i feel that man my weather strips are old and cracking so some water gets in if it rains super hard 😩 good thing i live in cali
I wanted a 350 bad but as prices kept going up I just settled with a 5 speed SLK 230K same engine as my sedan

it’s carbon silver. k51 color code. only came in 07 and 08 models.
