I think Roy only indicates Banner units, whereas Ganan is the one that gives a character you don't have.

If you by chance got an awakened unit via Forever Summons, you still haven't received the unawokened unit, so that can still be Ganan'ed

roy is unowned banner unit while ganan is any unowned unit

False, i just got Dzeorg with ganan while i already have him. So thats totally untrue, but nor i can explain whats going on with ganan, i once tought ganan also means new unit, apparently not 🥲

Rayas twice = 5* awoken units
Rainbow = banner units
Roy rainbow = new banner units
Rayas x Ganan = 2 or more 5* units (also new unit?)
Rayas choroc = my theory is a dupes(?) Or unit u ever had but not on your box anymore (?)
Lightning = probably same as above, a unit that is not in your unit box
Congratulations = 3 or more 5* awoken units (i kinda forgot)

Ganan means new unit, not necessarily from banner.
Roy banner unit you don't have
Awk versions count as different units, all units in forever summons count as banner units, so for forever summons Ganan and Roy means the same thing.

I've just been going through my units and awakening them for alch stones. I swear I haven't received a Roy animation this year and at least half of last year. GL to all y'alls FS!

2 Summons this happened to me:
1 time I ve got Fire Roy via Forever summons (level 70 already awakened). Then on Summer Cestina Banner, Roy animation... Fire roy lvl 1...
The other time was Mage Berwick

For some reason FS and banners are different from each other so when you get a unit via FS it dsnt count as you pulled it from banners.... it is sad to say

​@@thepurityofthesins9925It is that way because the unit you have chosen from the Forever Summon is already in their Awoken state.
Units you have summoned from a banner, being Fire Roy in this case, was in his UNawoken state. Thus why that person gotten a Roy animation for him. I can kind of see why the developers programmed it that way but it's a bit of a nuisance, if anything.
