    Will you make a video all about digestion? I have struggled with it my whole life. I thought that by going vegan it would help and it HAS drastically but still not to where I would like to be. Thank you for everything you do!

    I respect people who can eat raw celery, I take one bite and I'm over it. How do people do it? It's a mystery to me. My new years resolution is to eat one stalk and maybe someday I will be able to actually do it, but I know that it will be a hard journey. Nevertheless, I'm willing to work for my goals.

      Okay so I used to hate celery as a kid. I'm not really sure why though because i dont remember ever actually eating it and what it tasted like to me but my sister loved it and she smacks when she eats and I hate that noise so that's honestly probably why I didnt like it anyways that was completely irrelevant.. I started liking celery right before I was vegan. My boyfriend at the time and I would always get chicken wings and one day I decided to actually eat the celery by dipping it in the leftover sauce and then I started liking it. I'll eat it with nothing or dipped in stuff or juiced. I love it all. So maybe try dipping it in a dip that you really enjoy. But If you dont like it dont force yourself to like it either. Idk how true this really is but I've seen before that when people are mildly allergic to something they will not like the taste

People can do what they want and if it makes them feel good then great! But I won't force myself to eat it, because I'm convinced its evil and not made for humans to eat lol

    Talking about the gut, my masters project is researching the effects of probiotics on cognitive functioning and mental health, it's a really interesting field of research and I'm looking forward to beginning testing and seeing what results we find!

    Hey, Amanda! I am a type one diabetic and suffer from Hashimoto's (hypothyroid), and now have to get checked for PCOS due to fluctuating hormones w moderate acne, hair loss, and unexplained weight gain (I've been working out for five months and only lost ten pounds eerrgh)- I was wondering if you could share more about what you do for balancing your hormones, even though I know you said you're still healing... thanks! I love your videos :)

      I second the suggestion to see a dietitian. I wouldn't take advice about hormones from someone who's having issues with her cycle (just like I wouldn't take nutrition advice from someone who's overweight). Hopefully you find what works for you!

    Unfortunately I'm allergic to walnuts 😭😭 I can only eat one and that's it.
    But I truly agree with the "when you are full, real food, will stop tasty good " because it has done what it was suppose too. 🤩 I usually feel that, a lot with plant based milk. Ahhaha. Thanks for all the information in this video!! ❤️❤️❤️

    You talked about gut heath for a bit in this video, would you want to do a whole video on this? I’m trying to heal my gut because it is causing me severe eczema, but a lot of the information out there suggests to eat gelatin, fish, other fatty carnivorous foods and I ain’t trying to do that 😝 Loved this video as usual 💖🌱

    Grapes, apples with peanut butter, and berries are my favorite snacks! Also if I were you, I would have added the dressing at the bottom of the bowl before the salad and toss everything around while gradually integrating more ingredients. The dinner Buddha bowl looks phenomenal too! You're making me hungryyyyyy LOL

    This doesn't really have a lot to do with this video.. but how would you eat the way you do if you were per say staying at someone else's house for more than 10 days? I visit my boyfriend and his family for 2 weeks at a time and usually when I go their my diet turns into a lot of pasta and easy quick meals out at restaurants but not very nutrient dense (none of them are vegan). Keeping in mind I don't have a abundance of money to spend, how would you approach this kind of situation? pls and thank you! I love you, you are an amazing human

    I’m in anorexia recovery and still count my calories to see if I’m hitting my calorie mark to help me gain weight but sometimes it just gets too much. Last night I realised I hadn’t had enough calories and I was so tired but I stayed up 2 hours extra just to wait till I wasn’t full from dinner and a calorific smoothie to help get the calories in but that just made me feel awful and so so tired. Is it bad to sabotage sleep just to reach my calorie goals or should I have just gone to sleep when I wanted to, not worrying about the calories?

      I think it's okay for you to just eat a little less one day and then have more calorically dense foods the next to balance things out.
      Prioritize being kind to your body (which does entail getting good sleep!!).
      Big props for making it a point to nourish your body, btw!! Keep it up!!

    Low carb influences hormones too, do you get enough protein? I found adding a protein powder helped me regulate mine, and no it wasn’t because of a caloric increase because I had tried that and it didn’t help

      Look into Kimberly Snyder (a plant-based author, podcaster, blogger, and holistic health coach)! She has great information on food combining for optimal digestion. :)
      Not required, but she also sells a digestive enzyme that really helped me when I had some digestive issues.

      Victoria Lim very mixed opinions on them. My nutritionist said there’s no clear studies showing they consistently are beneficial. Personally they don’t help my digestion

    Out of curiosity, why do you think it was crazy for you to go on birth control? I understand you should never do something you don't want to, just because your partner wants you to do it, I'm just curious why your views of birth control come across negatively?? That's all! Thanks!

      alyssa young I think she probably just prefers to stay natural but birth control can also have really bad side effects-blood clots, cancer, cholesterol, heart issues, long term fertility problems, and more. Your body can just react poorly to messing with your hormones. Check out femmehead for more on bad effects of birth control!

      Abby H I mean yeah it can. I’m aware of the bad side effects. I think it’s just important that women/people with uteruses have all the information they need to make the right choice for them. Clearly her choice is to not take hormonal birth control. I was just wondering why. Birth control is very necessary for some people for various reasons. Lots of people live with lifelong birth control and never have severe problems other than minor annoying side effects.

      It was crazy because i was aware of the harm it does to the body and decided to just take the easy way rather than being more in tune with my own body. i do have a negative view of the hormonal birth control pill, and you're right, women should know exactly what the birth control does to a woman's body over time and they don't. and then we end up with imbalanced hormones, thyroid issues, etc. except doctors don't tell us that when we ask for hormonal contraceptions.
      soooo in a long winded, super passionate way, it's not as helpful as they like us to think. and it can cause long term health issues like infertility, bad gut, mood imbalances, etc. drbrighten.com/how-do-birth-control-pills-work/

      Been on hormonal birth control for 10 years, coming off gave me the worst hormonal acne and I had to go back on. Its horrible for your bodies natural regulation of hormones!
