I personally served with Master Gunnery Sergeant Geeter during my 20yr tour of duty in the Marine Corps and without reservation, he always did what was necessary to pay homage to the Montford Point Marines. I salute you my brother - in - arms for all of your efforts. Moreover, for sounding the bell for this most worthy cause!
    Semper fi,
Dr. Chauncelor Howell, Gunnery Sergeant, USMC (RET)

I’m a grandson to a Marine and he was like an 0331 Machine Gunner and he served more than 20 years in the Marines and he was stationed at Camp Lejeune and he fought in the Vietnam war and he never talked about the war and he finished as an E-9 (Master Gunnery Sergeant) and ever since I was little I’ve always wanted to be a Marine and he gave me his Purple Heart and he was shot three times one in his leg one his shoulder and one that hit his radio but my grandfather never talked about the Vietnam war so I never asked him about it and I have three reasons why I’ve always wanted to be a Marine
1 - because I saw all the marine corps commercials
2 - because I want to honor my grandfather as a Marine because he was a Marine himself for more than 20 years
3 - I want to fight for the fallen brothers and sisters that died in Kabul Afghanistan on August 26 2021

And my grandmother was their on Oahu during WW2 when Japan was bombing Pearl Harbor and she was 12 years old when it happened and my grandfather was little when WW2 when it happened and he was on Kauai and my father told me and my little brother that he joined the Federal Government so that way we won’t be POW and that’s why he joined DEA and he said the only school that the only school that was open to him that would take him was Maryknoll school 🏫 and so my grandfather and my grandmother moved to Los Angeles when WW2 was happening and my grandfather Retired as a Master Gunnery Sergeant (E-9) after 20 years in the Marines
