The Mechanic Nuuu. The openings are awful. The music is good. But it got really bad when in SAO II. (THE SONG YOU SHOULD NEVER SPEAK OF, IS THE SECOND OPENING TO CODE GEASS. SO CRINGE WORTHY!) Best songs I have heard other than this one, is Core Pride, and In My World. Both from Ao No Exorcist (Or) Blue exorcist (However you wanna say it.)

My favourite arc has gotta be the Aincrad Arc. Started the anime/manga off on a good note. Second favourite must be Phantom Bullet. Takes the whole "ghosts of the past" concept to great extents: It played off of Sinons first kill traumatising her; It played off of Kiritos past resent of Akihiko Kayaba/Heathcliffe's plan to make SAO into a literal death match; then it refers to the raid on Laughing Coffin which left multiple members dead and put immense guilt on Kiritos shoulders. My third favourite has to be Excalibur as it references Norse mythology, specifically the myth of the Frost Giants stealing Mjolnir.
My least favourite/ worst arc has to be Fairy Dance. One weak brother/sister relation oriented secondary story arc plus a weak ass villain who's just a cross between Roshi from DB and Greed from FMA who can't take a fucking punch without crying, and the icing on the cake? They turned Asuna, one of the most badass heroines in anime history, into a damsel in distress. I mean? WTF

If you think about it, there's a recurring theme of identity in the real world and the virtual world, which comes up in several different ways, such as Kirito's telling Leafa that your actions online say a great deal about your character. Leafa, in spite of trying to get over her love for Kazuto, ends up falling for Kirito because he's fundamentally the same person. Sugou's weak, but that's the point- he's a weakling who's only able to succeed by deceiving others and stacking the deck in his favor, which may be why he insists on playing king of the fairies. As for Asuna, Kirito wouldn't have made it into Sugou's inner sanctum if she hadn't snuck out of her cell and stolen a key card in a fairly bold and cunning move.
