The fact that Jerod has listened to this at least a bit, yet still gets caught off guard where he is in the song shows how chaotic this track really is.

I feel compelled to mention how some intense drums make it feel even more chaotic and dangerous. Peppy's a playful and seemingly really excited creature, but whether he was playing or being territorial, he is _deadly_ and _uncanny._ I love it.

Fake Peppino in my opinion has the best boss theme just because it sums up perfectly his personality, a balance between chaos and patterns while being the most unholy creature in the whole game
I don't think his name is Bruno, more like fake Peppino aquired what used to be BrunoPizza as Bruno wears a bow and fake Pep doesn't nor the signs in the room you fight in.

I believe the time signature is actually staying fairly consistent, it's just the rhythm that changes. You can still count 1-2-3-4 when it does (tho it's very hard). It's definitely asymmetrical. If you focus on the snare, there's three hits per measure, but the gap between the 2nd and 3rd hit is shorter than the other two. So the rhythm is like in triplets, but aligned with the upbeats, except the third hit which is back to being aligned with the downbeat??? I could be so wrong, please correct me.
You are close. I believe it is actually a three-beat long quadruplet, followed by two eighth notes. It goes something like “1 and 3 and, 4 and” where “1 and 3 and” are evenly spaced across three beats, which initially throws you off before it suddenly cuts back to the downbeat (“4 and”). It’s a very strange rhythm for a very strange boss fight!

The time signature is cheese/pasta
Tbh, i think when it hits the main motif the time signature might be 4/8 time (or a bizzare 4/4 time signature) cuz if you count the measure like “1 e and uh, 2 e and uh, 3 e and uh, 4 e and uh” it actually fits the measure. I can’t remember what the proper notation for “1 e and uh” but I remember its the notation past the triplet.
Its gets real funky when it goes out of the 8/4 time signature and actually goes into an 8/2 (or maybe a 4/2) time signature. Cuz if you actually count it out it goes “1 e and uh, 2 e and uh”.
For anyone sorta musically challenged time signature refers to how many beats per measure and what note gets the beat. Most pop and dance songs are in 4/4 time, meaning that there are 4 beats per measure (1, 2, 3, 4) and typically the quarter note (how many notes it takes to fill out the measure) gets the beat. So a half note in 4/4 time would take the (1+2 beat) and the whole note takes the entire measure (1-4 beat). So a quarter note gets a quarter of the measure meaning it gets a (or 1 beat) out of the measure (1, 2, 3, 4).

Peppermen: Peppermen strikes, a Iconic song, very memorable and epic Equal to peppermen!
Vigilante: A epic song, Much like western songs and fit with him, vigilante fight serious with anger!
Noise: a goofy boss, good music, fit with him because his insanity in phase 2, the music goes so crazy (with him btw)
Fake pep: This song is crazy and Go accelerating, like fake pep, with each attack he gets more insane, it's easy to see especially in Phase 2
Pizzaface: A boss final theme, just epic.
Pizzahead: a little more silly, but the theme is hard, even though silly like pizzahead
Unexpectancy 3 (A.K.A peppino's theme):
Just epic, it demonstrates how insane and angry Peppino is, the anger he carries on his back in these entire stages, to take it out on the same bosses, I love this song suits Peppino a lot, that's why I always thought it was a song for him.

The best description I’ve heard of this is as follows (putting this for both myself to understand the wonky rhythm and for others):
The time signature stays 4/4. You can count “1 2 3 4” with the beat no matter what part of the song you’re at. It just gets a little bit tricky to do that in certain parts.
For the funky rhythm, though, it’s a weird pattern of quadruplets (I think that’s the right word?). It follows the idea of “one and three and, four and”. The first two kicks and snares happen in the same amount of time it takes to count to three in the base “1 2 3 4” or “1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and” that you’re used to.
Basically 4 beats are happening in only 3/4 of a measure. The last kick and snare in the measure, though, follows the “4 and” of the regular “1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and”
So it’s funky, funky, normal. 1.5, 1.5, 1. It’s wild.
I have to read it as “1 and 2 and 3AND…” that last part is quicker XD
@@The8BitDrummer I don’t even think it’s that the last and is faster. It’s that the pause after the second “and” is EVER so slightly longer to get it from the upbeats back to the downbeats. 5 star Wild rhythm, will drum again.
