I always wondered why pros can't seem to grasp how much time is left on the spike. The 12th beep on the third phase is the last beep where you can start a successful defuse, and a lot of the pros do not even arrive at the spike by a time they could defuse. For example the 1v2 in the last round was almost surely losing for sure. But the way tuyZ wrapped around means he loses for sure, no matter what - he doesn't have the time to defuse, even with aimbot. If instead he goes through elbow, then he will very likely peek into a 1v2 crossfire, which he loses (say) 99 out of 100 times, but at least he has a theoretical chance to make it.. Guess stress gets the better of pros either.

@@egg7491 I'm fully aware that hindsight is 20/20. I'm merely surprised how frequently pros misjudge spike timing, when they literally make a living out of knowing the ins and outs of the game.
@@stackman7602 when u play on stage with a massive crowd so there are a lot of white noises bro only fkin super man with super hearing can do that consistently not just spike noise even hearing foot step is hard on stage. Think about the enviroment they have to play if they are playing onl at their room with no crowd it would be much different
@@stackman7602 1 they probably arent counting, they have more important things to worry about 2 if they went the quickest route they would have a bullet in their head immediately, they prioritise winning the gunfight over the time left on the spike
these pro championships make valorant feel like such a thrilling game with all the callouts and the utility, while my team is yelling at eachother the entire game and losing 1-11

Also worth mentioning that the Viper wall across ramp and A main doesn't require anybody to start on A lobby. This means that Viper can help her team out on B and is immune to any A aggression at the start of the round.

a thing ya missed at 17:01 is that mako basically TOOK the killjoy ult off the board by ending the round JUST AS IT WAS BEING PLACED which put killjoy's ult meter at 0 so it's not gonna be till next half till that comes online

Its really impressive that DRX dominated Loud like this on split considering that Loud absolutely destroyed other teams like PRX on split during the same tournament

i dont understand, why couldn't loud switch raze and kj? like kj easily could have put alarm bot and held heaven put with turret or molly or when the smoke came up to hold the push from drx.
The point is that I cant play any smoke\wall lineups I like in unrated, because randoms dont know how to play with it. Moreover sometimes people dont know how to play with default lineups...
id say yes and no. yes because you can pull off a similar effect for b garage pushes BUT because viper wall is also being deployed on A, its hard for defenders to fast rotate. plus they were running a double smoke comp which allowed for the weird smokes from viper to be used safely
@@homurizu makes sense. I play omen and it's quite hard to get in B (at least in high gold/plat). Maybe I'll try anyway since it gives two direction to go out of the choke point but it comes with more risks than in the case viper+omen setup
@@lollocasta i feel your pain. when i go smokes, i play viper and i love using weird smokes to confuse the enemy team but its so hard to when nobody likes playing smokes…always gotta play with default smoke setups for bad rushes cuz nobody wants to play slow/default in plat/low diamond lobbies
